Hi and Happy New Year folks ! 🍺🍺
Here’s one I started in a fit of insomnia induced masochism last night - all I’ve dun today is sand away copious amounts of filler (its a short run kit and has the usual unsuprisingly expected fit issues) and created a sanding dust storm outside mit a soft brush and a damp(ish) soft rag to get rid of the last of the dust. 🥺
Its AModel’s Beriev Be-10 “Mallow”, jet propelled flying boat. Its going together as nicely as any of AModel’s kits do, without too much fuss and no real suprises. That’s got my suspicions aroused, short run kits can be going along sweetly, then turn and bite you bigtime at the most unexpected of times (I’ve seen and had some real shockers of that nature !) 😖🤬
Anyhoo, here’s where its at now, don’t think I’ll be doing much more on it today, got some 72nd AFV’s to paint/decal/weather etc;

Err slight confession here... Ain’t dun any more on the Mallow, in the interest of having a clear desk, I’ve been working on these lil critters in 72nd scale, those on the left (all WW2 German), are nearly dun, just needing final finishing touches, those on the right (modern Russki), are about a day behind the other lot in terms of finishing. Going to keep going on them all til they’re dun and then get the Mallow back on the (cleared) desk and pick up where I left off on it ! That’s the plan anyway ! 🤫🙄

Its engines time... 6 bits each ala below... x2 😁
Which all assembles into two engines ala below (left the last parts each side seperate after looking at the next stage of the destructions !) 🤔🤯🤫

Moving right along...
Engines now mounted, rear fairing panels and front intake rings on...
Once that lot had set up satisfactorily, the lower half of the top fairing went on...
Slots in the wing area in the side view are for the wing spars, they’ll go on next time I’m on assembly, first though, there’s a fair bit of filling, filing and cussin’ to be done 🤬 The cussin’ doesn’t help anything, but it does make me feel better ! 🤫😆

Hi All,
Mallow’s filler on and drying, it’ll need 24 hours or more to get nice and ‘ard before the sanding etc; starts... 🙄
So to stop my fingers itching, I’ve started a couple of weekend projects (it is the weekend out here after all 😆)
At left its Hasegawa’s Me 109 G-14, to the Right we have Fine Mold’s Me 109 K-4, not going to fully document their construction, they’re just diversions whilst I’m waiting for the filler on the Mallow to set up 😖

Its Sunday now, so I’m going to rest - at my desk with another 2 109’s 😖🤫😆
This time its AZ’s 109 F-4 on the left and their 109 H on the right, The F won’t be in an as box colour scheme and will cop some Superscale markings from the Obscure Decal Dungeon.. 🤓 Will get back on the Mallow on the morrow ! 😖🤭
