Wow look at you go!! Build a coupe more 109's and you will have a squadron of them bad boys. Excellent work on the Mallow as well. Looking forward to more progress.

Cheers Folks 👍
The Duke ain’t the only one who can assemble en masse - all it needed was my Mojo to kick in again - looks like it has dun just that ! 😆🤫
Its ho-hum time again I’m afraid to say !
Time for some lunch and I’m thinking of taking the rest of the day off - 2 109’s a day will do me - I’ll sling paint at all 4 of em over the course of next week - try and git em up here (photo style) by Friday ! 📸
Best Regards OB 😉

If this was an Olympic event you'd be building for gold I'd say 👍

Cheers Guys ! 👍
As promised back on the Mallow - about an hour of sanding and rescribing panel lines and its close enough for me - luckily this ain’t an overall silver job ! 🤫
That unsanded blob of filler is new today - missed a bit there somehow 😳, never mind, after the sanding (and cussing ! 🤬🤭) marathon, I fitted the wing spars ...
Next stop, assembling the wings and tailplanes.... wonder what nasty suprises they’ll be hiding ? 🤔🤯😖
Regards to All OB 😉

Cheers Bucky ! 👍
Mallow has a marked Anhedral (wings slope downward from the fuselage), so I opted to glue the undersides of the wings to the fuselage and undersides of the wing spars first, then clamp em down til the glue set up hard... Playing it safe because there’s all sorts of possible woes to be had regards wing joints not meeting etc; if you glue the wings together first. 🤓
A couple of hours later, I glued the wing tops in, concentrating mainly on the trailing edge and wing to fuselage joins, a couple of leetle problems were revealed, but nothing too major and nothing that cannot be sorted after the glue dries. There’s not much need for filler here, so the glueing procedure was justified methinks 😎
Next stop the tailplanes ! 🧐
Regards to All OB 😉

Cheers Joe 👍
Its nice when a plan works out the way the wings on this one did, she’s not far from the paint line now, just a few lil’ bits to be added - not anticipating trouble with any of them (just watch, it may yet rear up and bite me !) 🤯😖
Regards OB 😉

This weekends “quicky build” is the Italeri 35th SdKfz 234/2 “Puma” Armoured Car 😎
No dramas thus far, should be ready for paint by tonight, just a few lil things to add at present. - she’s as box and staying that way. Went with Italeri because the recently rereleased Dragon kit is way too expensive for mine at over $100.00 Australian thru discounters 😖
Here’s where she’s at for the moment
Its about the closest I go to cars ! 🤓.
Mallow is painted, only needs decals, the 109’s are stalled til I get some more Luftwaffe paint colours
Regards OB 😉

The Puma looks great OB. I built that one way back and compared to the newer dragon offering it I think its just as good and at a cheaper price. The Dragon Puma is sitting in a box with about 6 other Shelf Queens!!

Cheers Guys 👍
Rich, its still a nice kit, got a few new things in it since I last did one of them (Seperate Jerrycan frames, decent Jerrycans, brass Jerrycan straps and a Command Aerial pot)
Its been basecoated with the new Tamiya XF-80 Dark Yellow 2 Acryl, which is slightly lighter than the old XF-60, its light enough to be used to highlight/modulate over XF-60 if one desires.
Ship in the foreground of the pic (Trumpy 700th HMS Dreadnaught) is umm... 🤔... err... 🤔... would you believe minding its own business ? 😆😖
Best Regards OB 😉
