After a lot of thought and careful maneuvering, I’ve managed to clear a safe path to the desk.. Had to dismantle a couple of temporary furniture items in so doing, but hey, they were slated for (careful demolition/recycling anyways, so I’m ahead of schedule on that (phase 2), anyway .. ho hum 🤭
Its looking less like a modeller’s den and more like a backroom dumping ground now (that won’t last long I do assure you ! 😆)
From the doorway, desk far left... New (albeit temporary) desks to the right...
From the chair at the desk, looking back toward the doorway, some of my 35th stash hiding under the new construction, Brown posting boxes at lower left corner contain my entire 72nd tank collection, there’s 10 boxes, each has between 30 and 40 72nd vehicles in it 😲🤫
Regards OB of wondering where that lot will go whilst the counter is bought in and placed carefully where they are at present ! 😉

Nice try, but no cigar sir ! 🧐 At this point in time, I couldn’t be less interested in trains (not saying never again but not for the forsee-able ) 😲🤫
Whatever gave you that idea ? 🤔🤨
It’ll be 2 desks, we have to dismantle the counter to move it, it’ll break down into 3 cupboard type units plus the top, it won’t be reassembled the way it is now, the 3 units will be separate entities, spanned by a longer top, giving me two benches about 6 ft x 2ft with room to park me legs under em when I’m in me chair a-muddlin’ !
Regards to All OB of still keeping him guessing ! 😉

Nearly all dun, apart from the tidying up...
That’ll start tomorrow, too tired now (yawn) been going like stink for a week lifting, cutting, totally stuffing a shoulder (right arm in a sling for 6 weeks, trapezius muscle torn and rotator cuff dinged yet again) The language at the time was rather salty I’m told 🤬😡 It flamin’ well hurt something ‘orrible !
Regards OB of Aaarrrggghhh (that’s after the painkillers kick in, its far worse before !) 😲😉

I have quite a history of destroyed shoulders, shoulder reconstructions etc; ever since my teens... 🤬🤭
Very uncomfortable when it happens, sleep is impossible for a week or so, even if you drop with exhaustion, the pain will wake you up pronto.
Regards mit Aaarrrggghh’s OB of berluddy ‘orrible pain 😉

Nasty innit ? 🤬😡 Wouldn’t wish it on my worst enemy - even if I had one !
I treat all my enemies equally, they’re all as bad as each other !

I feel your pain OB. I've been dealing with a different one that really burns, but I'm hanging in. At least I have my hobby for a distraction...

Ring dem bells ! 😆👍
Got to the new desk this morning, tried it in “finishing off” mode, got the tracks, guards and teeny lifting lugs onto the Trumpy KV-2 that’s been stalled on the production line for some time.. The desk worked perfectly, will next try it in airbrushing mode on the same kit .. Then will come the real test - will try it in full build mode with a Bronco 35th PzKpfw 2D.
I know I said I was getting rid of my 35th stash, but it didn’t work out that way, I ended up taking an offer for most of my 72nd armour stash. No biggy, at least I can see the small parts in a 35th kit. Same guy has made a rather generous offer for my unbuilt 700th ship stash too. I’m thinking about that too, way too many of the lil boogers clogging the storage space. He doesn’t want the resin kits (he’s skeered of them, the piker !), but that’s no bother, I ain’t at all scared of resin ship kits, built a few of em over the years and never had a problem with em at all, much wider range of ship kits available that interest me in resin, besides which, I’ve been thinking of changing to 350th scale for ships for a while now, same reason as for tanks - I can see the leetle bits in 350th !
I’m a big boy now, so I’ll play with big boy scale kits ! 🤫🤨😎
Here’s the KV as it is now... needs paint methinks !
Regards to All OB of “All change” 😉

Well done, although I'll miss your smaller masterpieces. If I'd known you were making plans to unload some small scale stuff I might have considered getting some of the ones you had that I can't seem to get. Oh well. I still have plenty to build of my own. I'll continue watching these masterpieces come to life, regardless of the scale!

Hi Folks
Mark, I wasn’t aware of the offer til it was made, the offer that fell through for my 35ths was from a different person altogether. Still have a few of my unbuilt 72nds - some of the Modellcollect kits, all 5 of the Zvezda kits, the Takom Objekt 279 and a couple of Zebrano and Hauler resin kits, as well as my complete collection of built kits (they weren’t for sale !) I still have all my resin 700th ship kits as well as a couple of other kits I’d started and returned to their boxes, I do intend to finish them, just don’t hold yer breath on when ! I still have all my unbuilt 72nd aircraft too, not changing aircraft scales !
Joe, you ain’t the only one glad to hear I’m back at the desk, believe me, it felt great to finally sit at the desk “in anger” (as it were !)
Regards to All OB 😉

I dunno about great to get back to it, this is a brand new desk, but its good to have a desk again ! 😆
It works in airbrushing mode - well it did, til I ran out of paint mid job on my Trumpeter 1/35th KV-2 (thought I had another bottle, but I didn’t - oops ! 😖😳)
It also works in full build mode, as shown by how far I’ve got in a couple of hours on my Bronco 1/35th Pz II Ausf D-1....🤔😁
Regards to All OB of mounting an expedition to the nearest LHS on Monday 😉

No Problem Sir ! 😆.
I’ll send you the bill in the morning (you don’t have to pay it, I need practice sending bills is all !) 🙄😁
Not doing anything styrene today, not really in the mood, I’ll get back onto it tomorrow - it’ll be raining by then, not that I need an excuse to stay inside out of the rain.
Needed a day off anyway, going for a walk along the lakeside shortly, there’ll be a nice, cool breeze down there by now.
Regards OB 😉
