Working on UM’s M4A1 today, ‘tain’t a mainstream manufacturer style job, so a bit more work needed, not a complex kit at all, just not mainstream moulding quality, so there’s flash to be removed from smaller parts, link n length track etc; to contend with. 🤯 Nothing scary 😲, just time consuming 😴. The chassis was done years ago, so once again, the boring bit is dun, just the tracks, upperworks and turret to play with. I’ll see how far I get wth it by close of play tonight, no promises of a finished, paint ready item in a day with these kits, even with the head start I have by doing the chassis years ago. Lets see how it goes 🤔🤫

Ummm... 🤔 .. Errr... 🤭 .. That is to say... 🧐 ... An executive derision has been tooken 🤯😲 ...

Taking the morning (at least) off today.. Just not up to playing with styrene atmo. Done rather a lot this week as it is methinks. There’s 3 tanks ready for the paint shop, plus another couple (UM’s M-10 Achilles and Zvezda’s T-90 A), need a few more parts added (Achilles), and a bit more paint (camo colours/pattern on the T-90), plus another 3 that just need markings and weathering to be finished. I’ll git most of (if not all of),that lot dun over the weekend. Might get some paint on a few this arvo and the decals on the Mandrake as well.

No harm has or will come to the UM M4A1 that was the intended target of today’s efforts. 

This is not a mojo loss 🥺, its a lil’ break to prevent any more mojo loss ! 🤓

While sitting here worthless with no energy I have had lots of thinking time so I have come up with a new plan for the Eagles Nest. Going to build a corner work bench across the room and move the bookcases and stash to where the existing table is to better utilize space and heating... this will make everything easier to access. This is my new winter project including new sub floors with light grey tiles and brighter grey walls instead of the dark brown there now...

Duke, I’m still taking time off, its rearrange the back room (aka “Obscure Works” ) time again, I had a sudden realisation last night about how to get the desk and environs better suited to my particular methods/style of building, so there’s a temporary shutdown whilst rearrangement happens, shouldn’t take longer than a day or two at the most - assuming my wrist doesn’t intervene in “pain stopped play” mode 😖🤬 Its been good lately, so I’m kinda hoping I’ll git away with it, there’s no heavy lifting involved ! 😎

Hate to tellya but that wasn’t exactly the impetus for me, my rearrangement has been coming for quite some time, truth to tell. 🧐

There’s been another turn in my muddlin’ direction (hopefully the turn onto finals !), the 72nd tanks are now staying in the “Drawers of Stasis” and a lot of paint has been archived as well 😖🤯... The desk needed to be rearranged to suit what I’m going to be up to for quite some time to come (I’m totally happy about this one this time, I know I’m capable of doing what I intend doing and time is not of anything like the essence 😎 ) That, for the moment is all the hints anybody’s going to get !

Everybody will find out where I’ve turned in a couple of days, revived a little something I should be able to finish in that time - I will git the decals on the Mandrake tonight and probably take the photos of the 3 MiGs and the Mandrake tomorrow

Well, that's cool you're both re-arranging your rooms. I would love to do that but I don't see it happening for quite some time. Maybe I'll just start boxing a bunch of stuff to get it out so I can consider some re-arrangement.

Errr... ummm.. yeah ! 🤔

After I finish rearranging, (hopefully today, maybe tomorrow), no new kits will be started until I’ve finished the UFO’s 🛸🛸 (NOT that kind of UFO), the Un Finished Object kind...

That’ll take me to somewhere in December I reckon (not too many of them tbh, but I’m going to take it easy, “steady as she goes” n all that), after which, I’ll knock off til new year and come back and start afresh, hopefully refreshed and with a right ragin’ modellin’ mojo. After all the upheaval between July last year 🥺 and the move in May this year, I reckon I’ve earned me a break. 🤔

I’ll be using the time off in a profitable manner, getting shot of almost all of my 35th unbuilts, cannot for the life of me think why I got back into 35th at all... I have (or can get) most of them in 72nd anyway only those 35ths that cannot be got in 72nd will stay, that’ll get me a lot more space in the stash bays.

First two to be kicked across the line will be a Trumpy 35th KV-2, that’s been kicking about for some time. only needing its tracks, mudguards and paint to complete and that verdammter 🤭 Mandrake, which is still awaiting its dang decals (have a feeling it won’t be waiting much longer than tonight !) 😁🤫

Absolutely hate to say it, but you’re waiting til new year to find out my new direction - happiness cometh to them wot wait  an’ all that ! 😆
