I would say you are doing pretty good building on that picnic table on the water and you haven't even launched any parts into the deep blue sea yet!!! Proud of you Capt OB!!!

Churchill’s now got paint (looks the same as it did above, only the finish is flat, not shiny plastic !)
My “General Duties/Carpet Bomber” Airbrush (Sparmax DH-03) and my compressor are recovering and just about breathing regularly again !

Well, its now blowing in gusty gale style and raining fairly heavily in these parts, nothing like early spring for rain and wind 🌬☔️... Forecast is more of the same over the next 4-5 days - aaaarrrrggghhh ! 🤬
Means no more airbrush painting while its wet I’m afeared (Glad I got the Churchill and M-60 dun) will just have to carry on building. So... 🤔
Replacing the Churchill on the 35th whilst watching TV line is a Trumpy KV-2, I’m adding an Aber metal barrel to it, because Trumpeter gave it a barrel that’s on the short side (and I got a pair of Aber KV-2 barrels for about half the price of one from a mate !)... We’ll see how far I get on that tonight !
Putting a shortlist of 72nd AFV’s together to pick a couple or 3 for the bench during the next two days (72nds are weekend only builds), pair of Soviet Flak tanks from UM are prime suspects at present and I’ll see if I can hunt out my Ace Centurion III I started before I moved here in May. About time that little critter got done. The UM M-10 “Achilles” can bring up the rear and hopefully get finished to the paint stage (its close enough !) if there’s time... NB I may just decide to do something else entirely in the 72nd area, I’ll let you know the identity of the selected victims tomorrow morning... 🙄😖

Everything looks great so far. excellent progress too, despite the weather. I'm dealing with heat myself; can't really open the window to vent so no painting for me for a bit. Gonna do what I can in the building department too.
Keep them coming OB!

Thanks all ! 👍
Owing to the fact that whilst furtling around looking for a certain kit last night, I found a missing something important that has stopped another kit’s construction in its tracks and meant the kit was consigned, nearly fully built and painted into one of my “drawers of indecision” for the forseeable.. I’m going to have a slight change of pace.
My secret vice is 72nd Aircraft, that production line was shut down a little while ago, because they take up more room built than unbuilt (the minute the wings go on, you need more space to store/display them)... Occasionally I give in to that vice though, so on the grounds that the kit concerned can now be finished and another kit is bugging me to build it, ever since I got it to replace one I gave away to a friend because I couldn’t get it into one of my transport boxes (All 22 of my built Spitfires (all marks) and 20 of my Mustangs (mainly P-51D’s) and a few of my other 72nd aircraft from a collection of 1200 odd came with me. There were 14 archive boxes of de-boxed and bagged unbuilt 72nd aircraft too (of course !), plus quite a few more I’ve bought since the move... Anyhoo ...
I’ve decided to finish the Revell Me-262 now that its been reunited with its missing canopy and build a rather nice looking (IMHO) Zvezda MiG 1.44, which has the look of a Flanker, crossed with the “cockpit neck” of a Valkyrie about it ! 😖
Stay tuned as the “O Hanger” dusts off the cobwebs and goes into a rare, short burst of Wingy Thingy mode 🙄😎
Hope nobody minds this slight diversion !

Thanks again guys ! The Revell Me-262 has been reunited with its canopy... Needs a paint touchup and its wheels (tyres painted and drying as I write this) then I’ll gloss it up and it’ll be ready for its markings on the morrow... Meantime I’m going to get this lump of MiG built to the paint stage... Back soon with more (as soon as there’s anything worth showing that is ! Regards to All OB 😉

Its not as happy as I am... drove myself sane trying to figger out how I’d managed to lose the thing ! 🤪
I knew better than to go looking for it, you never find anything by looking specifically for it, especially a lost kit bit 🙄

The Me-262 is looking great! But.....tell me.....are ya gonna set fire to it? I see a match in the background, sitting dangerously close to a glue pot! LoL

Ummm (gulp ! 😲) the other end of that match is sharpened to a point, I use it for removing paint from where it shouldn’t be on canopies ! Might explain why I get pink marks on my fingers during such activities... The glue of course is for sniff... errr Assembling models ! 🤭
