Err... Measure first - back room ain’t quite as big as I thunk it was, turns out when my mate measured it and texted the dimensions to me, he paced it out .. he only got the length and width wrong by about 3 feet lengthwise and just over 2 feet widthwise... 😖
A quick spot of thunkin’ 🤔 led to the realisation that the plot.. err.. plan would still work in slightly shortened form, I can still have my 4 desks (Aircraft, AFV’s and Ships, in no particular order or favouritism 🤫), the 4th desk being the paint shop ! 🤓
Its now just a case of getting most of the furniture out of the room, then sorting out the desks and bringing everything back into the room... But first I’m going to have a thunk about exactly how I want it arranged, might even play about with scale drawings etc; just to make sure it’ll all flow nicely as intended. Probably be a week or so before serious construction etc; resumes at Obscure Works...
No, I ain’t yet got the KV-2 finished, nor the decals on that verdammter Mandrake ! Also managed to drop one of the MiG 21’s last night... it’ll be fine after a repair job and new decals 🤬 I’ll get the other two piccy-ed and posted tomorrow (hopefully - no promises), along with the Mandrake, which WILL cop its decals tonight, come heck or bathwater ! 🧐😖 At present, Obscure Works is outbased in (very) temporary fashion on the end of the dining room table ! No photos of a before/after nature of the Obscure Works rebuild will be taken at any stage, I ain’t got the time to waste on such frivolities ! 🙄

I’m going for 3 build desks so I can switch between projects on the go, without having to put one back in the box then get the next one out etc; seemed to be the most sensible way to do it, an office chair with wheeled base that came my way gratis also helped !
Dun a bit of Dining Table muddlin’ this arvo too, got the basic camo colour on the “Dragon 3” from last week (shock horror ! 😲) and even more scarily, Yes that Verdammter Mandrake has got its decals dun ! (Will wonders never cease) 🤯😖🤓👍

Razzamfrazzam etc; ... got half of my first stage of rearrangement halfway done (everything cleared along one wall), a friend arrived with the box containing my latest grabs (just posted in the relevant place), wasn’t annoyed, cos when he arrived, I was thinking about a coffee break anyway. ... After he left I found my photo taking area outside was a no go, the sun having passed over it whilst my friend was here, so its pix tomorrow I’m afeared

That doesn't sound so bad. Man, you had me thinking that something had fallen and smashed something beyond repair! So you missed a picture taking window, no biggie, your work is worth the wait. Besides: You did get some scores delivered so that makes up for it!

Yer right of course, The sun’s out again today and I’m waiting for it to hit the photo area.
@ Duke, read up, I did mention on this page that one of the MiG -21’s got dropped and needs a fairly big repair job (which it might not get, my spares box is a bit short on MiG-21 spares ! 😆), as well as new paint and markings (dammit 🤬) so it’ll be 2 MiG’s and the Mandrake for the photo call...
My mate mentioned yesterday rang this morning, then texted me a couple of photos of some furniture being tossed/free to a new home type of thing, one of the items is an 8-9 foot modular kitchen counter style thing... Saves me a lot of work if we can score it, but it does mean everything I did yesterday will have to be undone to get it in. Luckily everything from yesterday is sitting in place, nothing actually fixed together... His timing is not its usually immaculate self lately ! No I’m not annoyed or miffed really - there’s an ulterior motive (mine ! 🤯🤨) in play here, 3 separate desks does sound like overkill on second thought... mwahahahaaaar ! 😈🔥
At present its don’t do anything more til we hear back from the current owner of the counter, if yes we can have it, then dismantle what I did yesterday, if no, then carry on from where I stopped yesterday. In the meantime, take the day off, something I’m rather good at doing actually !
UPDATE 11:13am : Its now raining in bucketfuls and the weather folks are saying it’ll be like this til Monday at least. I know the old saying goes “Into each life a little rain must fall” but jeez ! 🤯😖 I’ll have a look around and see what I got strong light wise and see if I can get some half decent indoor photos (don’t hold yer breath on that - I’d hate to be held responsible for some purple faced people ! 😱) Otherwise you’ll be waiting til Monday - hate breaking my word an all that but...🤫

I’m not worried actually.. kinda fun having a lazy day...
The Counter is mine, going with my mate to get it on Friday, also a rather large wall unit with a central space for a big TV in it... Said space might look better with a couple of glass shelves full of recently built models across it ... Well that’s the current thinking anyway ! 😆🤫
Its all turning out rather well methinks.. one lil fly in the “oinkment” (as my li’l bruvver used to say when he were a wee lad - he’s 6ft 7ins and built like a brick outhouse these days, so nobody argues with him !).... I can’t get to my stash or my desk til Friday night ! 😖🤨🤫 This take it easy bit is getting a lot harder for a styrene addict like me ! 🤯🤔

OB of taking it easy and wondering if I can somehow reach the desk (tools n glue) and the stash and return in one piece, without being buried by piles of highly piled (in rather loose and unbalanced fashion), kits deluging upon my person ! 😉
PS.. BTW, the countertops will be about 4ft off the floor... tad high for a desk eh ? Just right for what I’m thinking though, plenty of storage underneath too - bonus ! Ulterior motives wth malice aforethought ! 🤨🧐. Mwahahahaaaaaar ! 😈🤫
