Well Guys, It only took about 100 Days to finally shake off the "Funk", get motivated again, and start working to complete this project. I managed to go back and blow the dust off all the primed components, mix up some dark yellow base paint, and put a coat down on all the parts. I don't think the progress will be back up to my prolific pace just yet. However, I do see today's progress as a positive sign...albeit, a small one. Hopefully, I'll get the camo colors laid down in the next few days and get some photos posted (if I can remember how! ) Until next time...

Thanks, Guys. It feels good to FINALLY get back to the bench. As I said, on Sunday, I managed to get the base coat laid down. Today, I mixed up the two camo colors and got them laid down. DISCLAIMER: A modeler should NEVER take nearly an entire year off then expect to remember paint ratios!!! Holy Crap! Did I screw up the camo work on this! The Rot Braun was WAY too thick and therefore was spitting like crazy through the airbrush. I now have several "spots" that will need to become scratches, dirt spots, or chips during weathering. The green was a little too thin and didn't go down anywhere near as well as I wanted. Anyway, what's done is done. Here are a couple shots of my progress and I'm hoping to get much more done over the next week or so. Until next time...

Sorry for the lack of replies and a big "Thank You" for the comments. You see, I had this little thing called a colonoscopy yesterday morning and as anyone who has had one will attest, the last 3 days have not been the most pleasant. Good news is there were "only" 2 polyps and they didn't "look" bad to the doctor. The actual analysis could take 2 or 3 days. Anyway, back to the model... After pouring my first beer in nearly 5 days, I went back today and put the numbers on the turret. I chose the number 113 precisely because I was NOT able to find any photos of an early Panther G with that number...particularly in plain white block numbering. However, I do have pictures of the same Ausf with the number 135 as well as numbers 431 and 433 from the same Abteilung. I hand painted the numbers and will likely go back to touch them up slightly as the weathering process progresses. Here's a shot of the turret now: Until next time...

Looks pretty steady considering what you just went through... just a warning though, stay away from prostate biopsy's they make a colonoscopy look like a small mosquito bite... don't ask me how I know, just take my word on it!!!
