Welcome back to the bench brother!!! Thanks, Joe. Spent another hour today, so...well...you know...baby steps! But it feels good. A little progress is still progress! Great job, Robert!!

Good to see ya back at it Robert!! I know the funk feeling myself and how baby steps get things motivated.

Thanks for all the (renewed) interest in the build. Bucky's visit must have done something to the mojo because I spent a good 90 minutes on the bench even though I didn't feel particularly good today. In order to ensure I would get more accomplished, I decided to start putting together the tracks. As you may recall, the tracks I'm using for this build are from a company called WWII Productions out of Australia. Now before anyone tries to find them online...don't bother. They went out of business (sadly) 5 or 6 years ago. However, before they stopped selling tracks, I bought more than a dozen sets of various types, with the Panther tracks being one of them: Note that a company called "GTG Resin" (Good To Go) bought out all the old WWII Production molds and have resumed production of some of the tracks. I highly encourage supporting them at www.gtg-resin.com/The individual track links for the Panther come with instructions and three small baggies...one with the two track pin "bumps" to be added to the lower hull sides and then separately packaged Left and Right side tracks: The tracks go together VERY easily with only a minimal amount of clean-up (mostly light resin flash) needed. Here's a shot of the first 10 links put together from the inside, outside, and a shot showing that they are indeed 100% workable: So, after about 90 minutes, I had the full Right Side run of 86 track links completed and ready to go. Here's a couple shots showing the run and all the extra links provided in case you make mistakes: Tomorrow...the Left Side. Until next time...

Nice looking tracks Robert! I am glad they give you extra links, smart company! Despite that, seeing those still makes me glad I only build 1/72 scale vehicles! LOL!
Looking forward to seeing more.

Thanks to all for the comments.
Yesterday, I put the 86 links of the Left Side together and it probably took a whole 65 minutes. If I wasn't paying so much attention to the "The Invaders (In Color)" playing on the DVD player, I might have gotten through a bit faster, but not with as much entertainment!
Today was my normal Monday beer run to PBB (Bucky will tell you it's a great little place), so no model work today.
Until next time...

Back when I used to build 1/35 armour, my go to for aftermarket tracks was WW2 productions, very good indeed.

Cozy little brewery, in a nice historic section of Pensacola. I hope I have more time in the future to explore the area.

Nice looking Panther tracks Robert! I used their Sherman tracks in the past and really liked them and was disappointed when they closed up shop. I'll have to take a look at GTG Resin.

Well after getting back to the bench for about 6 hours over the past 3 days, I've managed to complete all the primary construction steps and have primed everything except the tracks in preparation for painting: Now I'll need a good two days or so of low humidity to start laying down the base coat. I also need to finalize exactly what kind of camo pattern I've like to replicate. Until next time...
