Yup, got some goodys alright... Two boxes worth there, from two sales. Diffo retailers. 😎
Not sure why the Italeri Hetzer's there, I've got one of them on the go on the outdoor line, it might have fallen into the box to get the lot into the Free Postage level.. 🤔 Dunno... 😉😆 Deffo got enough Dragon Hetzer leftovers from their Mid and Late version kits, plus a pair of Eduard Hetzer sets to upgrade the Italeri kits if I so desire..
That may be it - who knows ? Don't ask the Shadow, he's a know-all, know nuffin' ! So's the scarlet pimple ! 😈
Best M of WW 😉🙃

Greetings from balmy Hillsboro, Oregon where it is 18 degrees and snowing steadily into a 20mph east wind gusting to 30+. Wind chills are about three degrees, which is way colder than it usually gets around here. Recently added these to the stash: The P-38 will replace an ill-fated Hasegawa kit for the Green Hornet air racer (stupid construction error; horizontal stabilizer glued off-center and it can't be fixed). The Corsair will be done as Lucky Gallon. Decals for both arrived a while ago from DRAW Decals. The Academy kit is pretty nice, though it has some detail and shape problems with the front of the engine nacelles. Fortunately Quickboost has nifty resin replacements, and when SprueBrothers informs me that the one set which is out of stock is available again I will order up what I need. This big, beautiful beast arrived yesterday: This is a stunning (and expensive) kit which will take many hours to build. The side panel shot shows some of the interior detail for this kit. The engines are superbly detailed too and with care the flaps can be cut away and assembled in the down position. What's in store for this one? It will become a water bomber for wildland firefighting. A lovely-looking RedRoo Models resin conversion (with decals) arrived in Los Angeles from Melbourne via airmail last Wednesday but tracking shows no movement since. Between the weather and the holiday it probably won't get here until late next week.

Awesome Beekster! I have that C-54 in progress right now myself, it is a great kit! You're gonna love it. Sweet, Duke! Anything I should be aware of? It will sit for a while; I've got a Hemet Valley Flying Service S2 Tracker and Sis-Q Flying Service F7F Tigercat in process ahead of it. At least my RedRoo Models conversion set has made it to Portland, so even with winter storms I should see it delivered by the end of the week. It has decals for a Buffalo Airways "Fireliner" tanker; that outfit is a Canadian frontier flying outfit based in Yellowknife.

One thing I've been having issues with are the hinge parts that hold the flaps inside the wings. Very easily broken, especially the ones closest to the fuselage. Also, and this is your choice: I left out building all the cabin interior except the cockpit since none of it will be seen and it is not essential to hold the outer fuselage sections together. That simplified things and allowed me to move forward faster.

This arrived from Melbourne yesterday, just before the ice storm hit: This is a really nice little conversion for fire tanker fans. As it says, it can be used for the Revell (or, shudder, Mach 2) C-54 kits or the Heller DC-6. Inside there's a nice full color instruction sheet; the inside pages and back have more pictures of the subject aircraft and decal placement guides: Speaking of which, the really nice decal sheet: And the reason for all of the above, a lovely boat-shaped casting of the retardant tank for the belly, including a couple of bulkheads, a blade antenna, and plastic strip for the strakes on the retardant tank. I'm not sure that the bulkheads are really necessary; the tank casting is pretty stout. The strip stock seems a little thick for scale, but should be fine to use as patterns for thinner stuff. All this came to AU$22.00 plus AU$21.50 for airmail shipping from Down Under. The credit card transaction came in at a little over $30 US. A good value, I think! This conversion is one of the few non-Australian subjects that RedRoo Models does. If Australian subjects interest you, check them out at RedRooModels.com

It may be January, but I was able to finally spend some of my Christmas money! First off, I purchased online these armor kits: At my local IPMS meeting, a couple guys were selling models, so I scored these: I also got an old Testor's set of US and NATO aircraft armament, but it would not upload to the Gallery. My last Christmas present was given to me by a friend who frequents Hobby Day. It is a unique wooden kit that actually works: Of course, the "ammunition" is rubber bands, but this is so cool! Thank you for looking in, comments are welcome!
