Nice! If you look at Joe's recent thread on books you'll see a book that I listed about the secret reconnaissance overflights of the Soviet Union & Warsaw Pact countries in the sixties and seventies. The RB-66 was used for some of the peripheral recon missions, and they saw service in Vietnam, too.

Thank you Beekster. As this kit is for the B-66, I'll be making it one of those, before it got changed to an RB-66.

In the last couple of days these two arrived: The first is obvious, a second old Hasegawa S2 Tracker in 1/72. The second is a nondescript box bearing postal marking from Deutschland. Inside that little box is a nifty resin conversion from Wolfram Witchell at Wolf Modell in Germany to build one of Cal Fire's twenty-three S2T Turbo Tracker firebombers, re-engined with moder turboprop powerplants. Here's what's inside: A basic instruction sheet with cutting measurements in millimeters, so adjust your digital calipers appropriately. It's pretty clear, but I had a couple of questions and I've sent Wolfram an email for clarification. Speaking of email, that's the way to get in contact with him. He doesn't have a store, but will make his kits on request and he does take PayPal. Also were two bags containing all this lovely resin: The kit is quite complete. Seen here are the engine nacelles, which will require some careful surgery to the wings. There's a fuselage plug, which require more careful surgery just behind the cockpit to fit this extension. There's a nice low-profile belly tank, and bits to extend the wings and horizontal tail surfaces, replace the nose cone and arresting hook opening, exhaust pipes, complete the front of the engine nacelles, plug the radome opening in the belly, and build the six-bladed props. Decals can be ordered from DRAW Decals, which I will do.

Nice kit there Beekster! Going to be a nice addition to you collection! I think so, too. More work to build than the Hemet Valley aircraft I'm working on now, and a more challenging paint job (gloss white overall with red/black fuselage stripes).

Those automobiles were very elegant back in the day! Looking forward to watching you build it. My first acquisition for 2024 consists of two MPC Dodge Demon kits. I'll try to get a pic of those kits posted soon. This car kit was issued once in 1971, and never reissued until now. I actually owned a 1971 Demon back in 1977. Dark Brown with black stripes and interior. I'm hoping to replicate that car with one of these kits. (As much as I can remember of the real car!)

I got two models recently. One was a gift from a guy clearing his closet. He's more of a gamer so all that mattered to him was that I build models and it was a model he gave me. Yes, I'll build it: This next one was a purchase at my SoCal AMPS meeting that I picked up to start at our build night meeting that was starting that night. I'm going to be making this a Syrian tank: Thanks for looking in.

I picked these up to try after watching a car builder use them in a video. The 4 pack are acrylic paint pens in white, black, gold and silver to use on small parts and raised details like letters. He used the grey and black Gundam markers on panel lines of his car builds for some definition!
