Thank you Steve, it's not a complete operational fighting compartiment but it's the impression that counts as it will be barely visible. The turret has been closed and I made a start with the exterior of it, starting with the filling of the minor seam between the upper and lower half. The surface was too smooth so I added texture before gluing on the fiddly bits. Weld seams were made with Magic sculp. The commander's vizor on the cupola's hatch was removed. The thingies to keep the gun mantlet cover in place were scratched as the molded on one's were too softly detailed.   |

Thanks fellas! The stowage box was added to the back of the turret. The turret was airbrushed with two rust browns, a dark one and a light on top. I added texture but now I think it could have been done better, it's not rough enough compared with references I use. I hope it's the satin paint pushing back the texture as it looked ok before the first paint was sprayed on.

Thank you guys! With the turret painted now it looks not as rough as what I was aiming for. It's bizar because I dabbed with Tamiya extra thin and even a tad of white putty was worked on the sides of the turret. Maybe it's the satin paint? No man overboard, I'm enjoying myself and keep rolling the m47.  |
