Thank you gents The Prairie Dogs are now out in force after a long winter so I've been spending quite a bit of spare time out in the field with this Yesterday morning, however, a great howling wind with gusts up to 50 mph came up and today it's raining. A perfect time to catch up here sez I. The halftrack done Regards, Mark

Thank you sir
It's a Savage model 10 chambered in .223 Remington with a 6-18x Swarovski scope, 15 round Snyder magazines, and a Silencerco Harvester suppressor. Ideal for the PD's in many ways out to 300 yards or so on a still day

205? I'd say you were an ACE many, many times over. Five is Ace status, unless you're German; then it's ten. Nice rifle too!

Thank you gents Jed the PD's will turn a grass field into a dirt patch, they dig holes stock and horses break legs in, attract rattlesnakes, and carry bubonic plague amongst other things. Most everyone from elsewhere think they're cute but they are nasty little varmints for sure Vehicles mounted Didn't care much for the MiniArt supplied iron fence but they had some PE fence at the local railroad shop. Got a bit of grass down in the background and I don't think I had the lampost in the last pictures. Finish the base and figures will pretty much wrap this one up I am up to 258 PD's now Regards, Mark

That is some dang fine work Mark!
A friend of mine at work goes out west with some others to shoot PDs. The one he likes to use is a Wickliffe 22-250 with a Leupold scope.

Thanks gents OJ the 22-250 is a great varmint cartridge, very fast and hard hitting. I, however, don't use it; I'd have the barrel shot out in a season given the amount of ammunition I expend on the PD's. Yesterday I was out for three hours, shot 65 rounds and got 45 PD's. Use like this would kill a 22-250 in a hurry so the cartridge would be better suited for rockchucks where the volume of fire is not nearly as high. For me, anyway. Here's a couple shots of a fairly new PD town that's not overly populated. The dirt strip in the swale is what a concentration of PD's will do to the ground. From where the pictures were taken this strip is from 200 to 600 yards away so it's bigger than it appears I am up to 303 PD's now. I'd thought of taking a pic of a PD but they tend to come apart when hit by my tailored ammunition, probably a bit too gruesome for this forum Started figures Did a toolbox that still needs a bit of touch up Figures usually take me awhile Regards, Mark
