Track and Flak look great Mark! I've never tried any of those structure kits and have heard they can be a pain. Looks like you've got them well in hand.

Thanks guys OJ the structure kits tend to be labor intensive but they are not as difficult as you may imagine; just gotta jump in and have at it Have had some delays but now I'm back at it Mostly finished house with the two floors which I will install after base attachment Ruined church, the outside of which has so far resisted all attempts to paint. The joint engraving is very shallow so it's hard to keep them defined. I do have a plan The more I looked at it the more the straight steering wheels on the front truck of the 88 bothered me so I took a step back, did some drilling and pinning, and now the front truck can be made to look as it's being steered instead of dragged sideways And that's it for now. Computer is very slow today, makes me wonder where the grandson's been taking it Regards, Mark

Thanks guys So the plan for the church did not pan out, and, those of you who know me will not be surprised, it now resides in the garbage bucket. Went to the local Home Despot and got a sheet of 1/2" pink foam insulation and watched me some YouTube when I got home. After watching a couple things I retired to the bench and about 30 minutes managed to produce this Some hours later I produced this which now is in base paint; it will replace the uncooperative church This is the first time I've tried foam buildings and I must say it's pretty easy, much easier than MiniArt vacuform. Since this is so and as a bonus you get to make what you want instead of settling for what everyone else has bought from the makers it follows that I'll be doing more of these as called for Regards, Mark

Looks good but be careful what glues and paints you use, I've had it melt it before.

This is inspiring. I might have to try this in 1/72 scale...

Thanks blokes It seems on pink foam board one can use any paint one wants short of lacquer based as long as one gets a good thick layer of a durable acrylic such as Model Masters on first. 24 hours drying time just to be safe. White wood glue is all I've tried to use; don't want to go to others as it works well. Buildings largely done and attached to base No doubt I'll find something more to pick at as I keep looking at it Regards, Mark
