Hi Folks
3 Newies on the line, all in 72nd, as below 😎
L to R - Tamiya FW 190 D-9 and a pair that arrived this week, Academy Hawker Tempest V and Airfix Hurricane Mk 1 early ("Ragwing"), no dramas anywhere on any of em, all 3 nearly at the paint stage.

Tailplanes are the giveaway on the Hawkers, pretty much the same shape, indicating the same designer, two of Sir Sidney Camm's beauties. (geek glasses on) 🤓That tailplane design goes back to the Hawker Hart biplane bomber and its derivatives Demon, Audax, Osprey etc; to the Fury and Nimrod fighters developed from the aforementioned two seaters, Fury Monoplane project (later to be renamed Hurricane), Typhoon, Tempest and finally the immortal Sea Fury (considered by many to be his piston engined masterpiece). Exit Geek glasses mode 🙂
Got two of Willi Messerschmitt's finest (109 G's) up next, then a couple of Reggie Mitchell's immortals (Spitfires - Mk's yet to be decided !)

Almost too expensive out here, so only git it on special occasions. Usually just get some Old (Toohey's Old is the full name of the brew) Nice stuff, not too burp inducing and doesn't cause reflux like burns in my internals the way a lager or a bitter will

Used to drink fozzies all the time when I was younger and on the list to be called out as a member of several scratch or house bands that were called out if one of the regular bands had to cancel for some reason, made more $$ doing that than being in a regular band on the Sydney pub/club scene. Worked most nights too we did (myself and my ever faithful stratocaster 🎸). Thems were the days. Fozzies was the muso's beer back then. The pubs and clubs used to make sure there was always a plentiful supply of Fozzies waiting in the dressing room every time the band took a break, free too ! 😃
Anyhoo no progress to report yet - I'll wander in there this arvo and get going at the paint desk and git the remaining colours on the P-47D and the Clipwing Spitfire IX, so they're ready for decals etc tomorrow, then I'll move to the build desk and git the 190D, Tempest and Hurricane to the paint stage. 😎

In anger, as a paid member of a band/duo or solo, way too many years (1992)
Here at home, purely for my own amusement, last night for one of the acoustics, 2-3 weeks ago was the last time I exhumed my Stratocaster and my amp and had an electrified twang
Don't miss that life at all. Couldn't do it nowadays
