....29 has its first camo colour freehanded on 👍



Which means its lunchtime ! 😎 31 cops a swift mask and spritz of lt grey after lunch, then this jobby can have its second camo colour added and its missiles etc will cop a coat of paint as well.😃

Well the 29 just needs its camo sharpened up a bit and its underwing things, decals etc; and she should be dun by tomorrow night 🙏



The 31's had a quick mask, spritz of paint and I'll let er dry another hour or two, just so my decal softener won't take the fresh paint off or ding it in some fashion, Its back on schedule to be finished tonight...😎

Sure, it needs a tad more paint on the newly added parts, but she's close enough for me... 👍



Next time you see her, she'll be in the Finished Aircraft Forum. Last paint touches will be dun by tonight and the 29 will be a lot closer to crossing the line as well (forgot there's piles of decals per missile on that lil jobby !) 😖

29's had its camo colours tightened up to a hard edge splinter, no masking involved (got lazy and used a brush !) 😗🎵🎶 Its missiles are just about painted (it'll take longer to put the decals on all of them than it took to spray them all white !) 😲Reckon she'll be ready for the lot to be decalled, starting tonight 🙏

Think I might just follow that with one of the new KP MiG 23's and one of the Modelsvit "Big MiG" prototypes (Ye-150), then finish the Russki builds with the Trumpy Tu-28 "Fiddler" (World's biggest jet fighter), which I've been meaning to git to ever since I grabbed it last year, on the other hand, there's some 72nd armour which seems to be calling out ever louder, not sure if I can ignore those calls too much longer !  🤔🤯😖

Pics of the 31 and 29 will be tooken after the 29 is finished - promise - Mark, if you'd care to look in the "Finished Aircraft" forum, you'll see I posted 3 there a couple of days ago (inc the AModel "Mallow" !) 😃

Err... I've decided to finish the 29 and then do a few 72nd tanks actually, we'll see how long those will hold my interest 😖 by the time I've got the 29 across the line, I'll have had enough of aircraft methinks 🤔

On the other hand... there's those Cruisers I started some time ago, plus Exeter only needs a tadge more brass and a bit of rigging to get her across the line and there's a Hunt Class 2 DE just about dun too Hmmm... 😈

Too much to think about this early in the morning actually 😲🤫

Think that's the one I've been resisting at some level, stand by for a few retro builds, lovely old Esci, Matchbox, Hasegawa and Fujimi 72nd Aircraft / 76th Armour. OOB for the most part, no real point in wasting cash on brass/aftermarket bits on stuff that old (but still good for the times in which they were released !)

I might change the markings on a few of them - mainly 'cos the kit supplied markings are shot, (a typical and known hazard with kits as old as some of them are !) 😲. No biggy to me though, with piles of decal sheet spares (not going to waste cash on decal sheets either !

Think I'm happy with that ! 🤔😎

All MiGs returned to storage boxes (not the 29, but I am going to leave its missiles sans decals !) 😈

Just started a still pretty nice Fujimi M4A3E8 105mm Sherman (HVSS) in 76th, one of their first 4 76th armour kits... will start a Matchbox JagdPanther (one of their first 4 76ths as well !) shortly 👍😎

I did thunk of it a while back, but nixed it for some reason - dunno why though ! 🤔😖

Got the Sherman's chassis and hull dun last night, just got to add all the little greeblies that need to go onto that, then its turret time 😃...

Might do a couple more Fujimi 76ths after that as well - Hetzer and Panzer 1 are the likely candidates there, then I'll grab the Matchbox Jaggy plus another two Matchbox kits, then move onto three Hasegawa 72nd Wingys, before I look for some Airfix critters 😎

Just about to post the MiG 31 in finished wingys as well ! 😆
