Looks like a 29 now (oh what a difference the nosecone makes) ... Seat and stick have paint drying, will be fitted for next photo, along with the rest of the cockpit gubbins

Meanwhile back at the MiGsty (highly technical term for an area where a bunch of Russki Aircraft are being built..😖)...
Don'tcha just love a multi-part bang seat (and the good part of it is there's another one complete on the sprues 🤔)...
No worries, its well engineered, parts are flash free if fiddly, and it assembles rather easily (with tweezers to the fore !) 😈
Gonna need another cuppa I reckon ! ☕️...

The seating parts look good, OB. I prolly wudda already had a couple of those teeny bits take flight on their own!

Yeah, been there done that. I had to assemble the seats for my C-54 from the five or six parts they provide for them, and those seats are smaller. Looking great, you made it look like it was molded that way.

We have paint on both - first coat thereof at least... 😃
Not too far to go now - Dunno if I'll sling a bit more paint at the 29 (camo pattern) and git the wheels and missiles on the 31 or start anothery altogether 🤔
Hmmm 😈... decision pending... watch this space - looking like rain again outside.... 🙁
Going to have a cuppa and think about it properly 😈

Decision as to what's next can wait, but I have a feeling it'll be a pair of USAF silver jobbies with "B" prefixes 😈

Update 29 May
Captain's log (atrocious visual pun alert - sorry ! 😖
MiG 31 is now armed to the teeth, only needs decals and a couple of paint corrections to complete, should happen tonight, says he hopefully....MiG 29 still needs its armament (things under wings) and its camo and decals to complete, hopefully dun by Sunday night 🙏 (again said hopefully)

A leetle bit late, but the first of two camo colours are going on the 29 shortly, paint will also be going on its "things under wings" as well. 😃

Whilst telling everybody else to git on with muddlin' no doubt ! 🤔 Hmmmm .... 😈
Two steps forward and one step back in my case I'm afeared 😳... No more decals going on the 31 til it takes a brief swing thru the paint shop.. I'm so used to painting dark grey up the leading edges and across the tops of the tailfins of all grey Soviet aircraft (MiG 25, 29 and 31) that I forgot this one's in the lighter grey overall scheme and doesn't have dark grey leading edges on the fins 😖 Tis no biggy really, just the hassle of a quick masking job on the top of the fins and an equally quick spritz of light grey thru the airbrush to put things right, its just a pain when I'm halfway thru doing its decals 🤬
Oh well, I'll work on the 29's paint til lunchtime, and give this verdammter 31 the required paint touchup after lunch. Its decals will still be dun by tonight 😃
