Update to the update......
It was a long weekend, two full days ripping into the sub-floor and main ply to verify water damage or mold, found neither, schewwwwww! Then, it was a royal hoot scrapping up the liquid nail that was under the 1/2" OSB on top of the 3/4" sheeting. A layer of 1/4" Masonite was placed on top of the base sheeting bringing the finished floor level to the exact elevation required, Yehaaaaaaaaaaa!
The main concern was the joint where the base and corner cabinets meet. It was a total success, no shaving and no filler. All those weeks of planning and adjusting paid off handsomely.
Ok, nuff of that, here's a few pics of the cabinets in place. Disregard the counter top, we'll be redoing them with resin, www.stonecoatcountertops.com/home, incredible stuff.
Cheers, Ski.

Let it be known now, I am "NO LONGER" having any fun!!!!!!!!!! This bites, literally. I would prefer to strangle the over zealous floor installer, he went ballistic with the liquid nail! I'll try soaking the glue blobs, but either way, it's a messy job and the dinning room is in the same condition. The cabinets for the island have been built and are on stand-by until the old island is pulled and the floor cleared. I pulled the plywood subfloor and found the gas line in a favorable position, but also found three water lines right where the stove vent goes, HA! It's always something, ain't it? The exhaust vent has been installed as well, a minor 4 hour job.................
How do you eat an elephant? One bite at a time, .......ya right! More pain to follow, but yall can see I would rather be "sniffin paint and gluin my fingers together."
Cheers for now, Ski.
P.S. I would have preferred this to be in 120mm scale instead, if ya know what I mean.

I'm thinking it would be quicker to hang plastic over the doorway to save the rest of the house and power sand that crap off...

Tank you kindly Gents, I do appreciate the shoulder, it's a tough row to hoe. I considered the belt sander, but was overruled by my new Boss. It really is a messy operation. So, we'll keep on keepin on, and if yall don't see any updates, trust we are still scraping the floors, HA!
From what I'm hearing this is not an uncommon issue. Sound reductions calls for partial board to be glued, but they never think of future ramifications, if someone like me comes along, doee....................
Hey, maybe if I called a "floor" party, I would get an army of helpers. I'm just not going about this right, lol. Waaaaaaaaaaaaa................
Carry on, Ruck Over Bby! Model Club meeting Friday night, yehaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!
Thanks Gents!

Been crickets here on my part, but an update is in. The flooring was finished yesterday, trim out next, then counter tops. The counter tops will be the fun part. I'll load pics when we get there.
Cheers, Ski.

Ya Joe, I called a Union meeting today, we, as in; me, myself and I, decided at 3pm the day was done, job finished or not. My boss was good with that, what else could she do? We would have done a "walk out", either way. HA! Let's just say I'm way past the burn out phase of kneeling on the floor, etc. The fun part is in a few days, resin counter tops. I'm all in to that in a big way. Cool thing is, Korbin will help with the resin pattern, and he's stoked about being part of that process. I'll post pics, ....when I get round to it, HA! Yall keep "sniffin paint and gluin them fingers together" in the mean time, I know yall are holding down the fort.
I really can't complain much Brother, just a few months back I was drooling about today's progress, so T'sall good. We see light at the end of the tunnel, and no, it ain't no dang train!!!!!!!!!
Cheers, Ski.

Tanks Duke, 8 months of sweat from me brow finally paid off. If I didn't know how to do most of this and there wasn't a youtube I'd never have gotten it done.
Me Mum is happy, that's all that matters.
