I decided to use what I had on hand, and have most of the turret armor blocks on, using a combination of Academy, ESCI and Verlinden. In fact, I will be replacing most of the plastic parts with Verlinden, since I realized that it's noticeably m,ore accurate, both in depth and configuration. Left side, all Verlinden except for the first three blocks:  IMG_5945 by Russel Baer, on Flickr And right, the last three blocks Verlinden, soon to be mostly Verlinden:  IMG_5946 by Russel Baer, on Flickr You may notice the Verlinden parts are two different colors, because I'm having to scavenge from both of the two sets I have, lots of chipped parts. |

Looking even better by the day,nice scavenging for blocks,I know you know and so do we now but when painted would the armour blocks look so different,just a thought? The only "big" difference is the actual thickness of the ERA block itself, and the fact that the Verlinden blocks have undercut ends, whereas the plastic parts do not. But true, when painted, it will be hard to tell the difference without a close look, and some vaguely creepy knowledge of the actual things.
This pic may show what I'm talking about: The only plastic parts are the front three "standard" blocks, and the two small ones above those, as well as the one "flat" looking smallish block just in front of the range finder aperture. It's hard to tell, but the is a noticeable difference. And trust me, I WILL sleep better now....

T'anks y'all! So, just so this one doesn't look like any of the other Magachs I've built, I scratched up what looks like the armored box the IDF put the small searchlights in, just cuz.
