Congrats on the re-certification! You deserve the bench time. Way to go on that primer coat; this is coming along exceptionally well.

I’m all caught up now Dave. This’ll be another immense build by the looks of things so far What colour are you using for the top coat? DAK Tigers wore some great schemes

Jcon Thank you kindly bro. Keith Thank you very much my good man. Marco Thank you my friend. No rust yet, its actually the primer color the Germans used. RAL 8012. Dukemaddog Thank you kindly. I spent a fair bit of time trouble shooting the AB. I got my parts the other day....now it's mostly fixed. Jeff I certainly do....when I am done with them. Thank you my good man. Steve This is a great kit. The decals? Not so much. Very, very fragile. They fracture quite easily. As to the camo, I went with a RAL 8000 and RAL 7008 scheme. Cliffj Thank you for the compliment my good man. Feldgrau Thank you very much. Sound like you have a back log! I spent a fair bit of time at the bench the last couple of days. A lot of color laid down in that time. I opted to go with a two tone camo scheme, as there are some pics showing this. It's not a high contrast scheme, but it does certainly give it some character. Apparently the first seven Tigers sent to N. Africa had smaller diameter tow cables, and RFM depicts the tow cables for the smaller diameter. Later Tigers had the larger diameter cables, but they were turned around when stowed. Since they were harder to bend, cable ends were mounted at the front, and the loop was toward the rear of the hull top. There's a picture of Tiger 112 with some lighter color paint on it. It is thought that this color is where some battle damage was repaired and painted. It is thought that this is RAL 8020, which was the base coat for the tropical camo scheme that superseded the one I painted. The cables still have yet to be painted. I was able to salvage the balkenkreuz, as it had fractured in two places, and started to come apart elsewhere. The same pic that showed 112 with battle damage, also showed a grey barrel. Possible replacement? I thought visually that this would look rather interesting. It, did not show the muzzle brake, so I applied some artistic license to it. Much of the exhausts will not be seen once the shrouds are mounted. Still, you will be able to see a wee bit. The commanders cupola. The chipping effects are not quite done. There is still some to do. Stay tuned Dierk....you'll see what it is that I am prattling on about. This shot show the low contrast between the colors. It's even harder to see in B&W pics.

Keith Thank you kindly my friend. Jcon Thank you very much brother. Jeff Thank you kindly for the compliment my good man. All of the road wheels are weathered. Well, mostly weathered. The grease and grime have yet to be applied.
I finally got around to finishing up the tow cables. It's difficult to see, but I painted a lighter shade of the base color around some of the chips to add some variety (i.e. that is chips of differing vintages) The exhaust shields are mounted.

Boy, I'm a bit late for supper, dang me! Wow, looks great Dave, and that kit seems to be pretty detailed from the box, impressive. Great little details being added, bookmarked!
Cheers, Ski.

Jcon Indeed it did. Ski Never! Plenty of left overs. Thank you for the compliment my good man. The kit detail is impressive. No bench time today folks. Too much stuff to take care of today. So, here's what I got done yesterday. Some oil paint techniques to give the camo some variation. There's a few flecks of oil paint that need taking care of. A victim of handling. A cable clamp that will now have to be scratch built, as it had gone off to be an offering to the floor monster.
