Good afternoon everyone. Thank you all for the compliments on the winged beastie. I have been hankering to get the red stripes, and copper leading edges on the prop....but I need to let the oil effect fully cure before jumping on it.

Good evening everyone. Snipersmudge Thank you kindly my good man. Jcon Thank you very much brother. Buddho Thank you good sir. A lot of masking done today. With a (mostly) finished prop. I painted the leading edges with Vallejo Copper, and then gave them a light wash of Prussian Blue to give the copper a patina. My white balance is off with the camera, because the copper is not that pink in person. I then painted the red stripes with Vallejo RLM 23. Everything was done in very light consecutive coats. The RLM 23 initially goes on looking magenta/pink. It then builds up to this amazing red.   The Bristol decals need to dry out a bit before I hit them with a Satin Varnish.  The prop is dry fitted here. I still need to get some plumbing and exhaust stacks done on the engine first.  |

Jcon, Thank you Brother. It’s getting closer to the finish line. I’ve got the Green Tail Albatross kit arriving tomorrow. It turns out there are 3 kits in the box....oh boy howdy
