Good afternoon everyone. A lot of progress achieved at the bench. As my lovely daughter has said, "The art block is over". With the progress there was a fair bit of redo. Especially with the seam line that showed up on the upper side of the fuselage when the light hit it just right. Vallejo putty and 1500 grit to the rescue. Here's the redo on the upper side
The lower side.... The completed redo. Big flat surfaces have always given me fits for filling/fixing seams. I picked this masking medium at the LHS. It is the bees knees for masking. The wind screen has some difficult lines and radiuses to fill. This stuff work wonderfully. Here is the result....
I painted the edge of the wind screen a thinned green to represent the glass edge. I can't remember where I picked up this trick, but it works well.
The beginnings of weathering.

Good evening everyone. Jcon, Thank you kindly brother. When I saw that upper rear seam in the proper light, I thought "Are you ****ing kidding me!?". I was tickled to have taken care of it. Jeff, Thank you kindly my good man. Buddho, Thank you very much for the compliment. I'm closing the bench for the night. Plenty of work done today. Best to come back at it with fresh eyes tomorrow. The rigging is attached to the underside of the top wing, and the wing is now mounted. With that, it is time to give the eyeballs a break.
The gunners deck wood is weathered with MIG 502 oils. These next few pics will give an idea of the rigging menagerie......

That's a real beauty. Even though all that rigging paralyzed me with fear. I can appreciate the skill it takes to tackle these wonderful kits.

Thank you kindly Rick. While mounting the top wing with the rigging dangling, I was looking at all that spaghetti hanging down thinking, “Do NOT c**k this up”. I was worried about trapping some of the rigging between a strut and the wing. So far it looks ok

Good evening everyone. Thank you all kindly for the compliments. I got the rigging started today. About 6-7 lines in the CA started behaving oddly. It was sticking to everything but the line and the model. Accelerator didn't make a spit of difference. Soooooo, before I launched the model that I've got a fair bit of work into, I decided best to call it a day. Here's what I've gotten thus far.

Good evening Bucky. It did not get to the launching stage....it came close....so very close. I’m going to cogitate on the CA conundrum. I am perplexed as to its behavior tonight. I am hopeful that the rigging will get completed this weekend.

No worries, Dave!! We're in no hurry around these parts!! I've got a build going that's been on the bench for around 7 years!!
