Nice one, Joe! What are the dimensions on that desk? I need to replace a narrow built-in in the Hobby Shack. Your paint rack is pretty cool, too. Got it on Amazon for $125... I see they raised the price by $70 since I bought mine! Wow!!! One of the pics shows all the measurements... ODK 59" L Shaped Desk with Power Outlet and USB Charging Ports, Reversible L Shaped Computer Desk with Storage Shelves, Home Office Desk, Gaming Desk, Corner Desk, Black a.co/d/01JUxVC They have longer ones but wouldn't fit in my small area...

These arrived on Thursday: Four decal sets from Microscale, with markings for Maintenance of Way cars, general number & alphabet sequences, and data for SP boxcars. I'm sure that I'll have a couple of SP cars on the layout eventually, and the data placards are good for any 40 or 50 foot boxcar. The MoW decals will soon get used on the wrecking crane and the improvised gondola. Still waiting on artwork to approve for the custom Portland, Cascades & Coast decals that I've ordered.

And to go with the crane, the major elements for the next project have arrived, both old blue-box Athearn products: A 50' flatcar lettered for ATSF for $15.24 from eBay and a 40' steel boxcar, undecorated, for $3 from a trip to The Whistle Stop train store in southeast Portland last Saturday. They have more cheap old rolling stock in their bargain closet so I will spend more time in there looking for additional useful mathoms. So what will be happening with these two? I'll post a build thread on that, because I will be building a crane boom tender car to go with the crane. The boxcar will be cut up and one end of it will become a shed on one end of the flatcar. Along the sides I will scratchbuild some tool & rigging bins and use some of the stakes as well. Small piles of ties and other useful stuff will also find their way to the car deck. Though there's little rust anywhere, this must be a rather old kit because the stakes are metal and not plastic.

Bought some 1/72 resin figures for a future project,WWII British air crew. Looking at these I might even get one or two larger scale versions as I think they look pretty good.

Nice score Jed! As for me, I got these: 1/4 scale Grogu from the Mandalorian: I got him at the San Diego Comicon on sale. This one was purchased for me at the IPMS Nationals this past month by a friend: Guided Missile Fleet and Seaplane Tender kit of three in one: Now I need to source some new decals for the USS Boston to make it the Canberra since I already built a Boston. My Boston model was given to me as a gift by a former USS Boston crew member who lived next door to us. That's all for now.

Very nice Duke, I've fancied a go at one of those Mandalorian figures but they are a bit expensive over here, for me anyway!!!

Thanks Joe, no idea when I will start on them. At the moment we are busy trying to empty rooms and the loft/attic space as best we can for a full house rewire, we will have dust everywhere due to cutting of new channels up the walls etc, not looking forward to it!!

Here's one that belongs in the category of "I Just Couldn't Help Meself!!" The wife and I were shopping at Ollie's for some much needed household junk a few days ago. I rounded the corner in the toy department and the following item knocked me down: So, taking inspiration from Beekster, DukeMaddog, M from WardWorks, and others here at OSM who build trains, I just hadda bring it home!!!

Never seen that kit before, Bucky. And I've seen more than a few hobby shops & toy stores in the last nearly six decades of shopping such places. Great find!
