I think they will be quite helpful for lines and small figure painting details. For those wondering you can get these on Amazon.com... just look up Kamall Nail Liner Brushes. The set was $9.99...

Wow, what awesome acquisitions guys! The First of June I got to go to the San Diego Model Expo and with the help of a friend, I got these excellent additions. First, in the raffle, I won these tools: I also got this mini display, perfect for my small scale: After that, I picked up these three Grand Prizes: These are the purchases I was able to get with leftover Easter money from friends and the help of another friend who came with me to the show: First are these ancient "planes on a stick" that were first issued in the 1960's. There';s no interior or landing gear; they sit on a stand. These are both 1/72 scale as well: : Next is this ancient Eidai 1/72 scale kit of the Cessna 172. I got this since my brother learned to fly in one of these: Even though I already have one of these, I couldn't pass this up. I looked inside and there are two complete kits inside; and the seller had no idea and only charged me for one! Deal! Another great score from the same guy: ' Finally, I saw this and just had to have it: And that is all I got at the San Diego Model Expo. I'm so thrilled! Looks like I'll be busy for a few days.....

Very nice stuff Duke. I have a pair of those clamps from a sale, a bit big for most of my stuff but have worked well on some.

Thanks guys! Bucky, at least three of those aircraft are already under construction, so you should see them soon.
Jed, thank you. I have used these clamps quite successfully on some models; mostly ships and large aircraft.

This arrived in the mail today, $8.43 including shipping from Pennsylvania: This Model Power 40-foot boxcar is decidedly basic and rather lacking in detail. That's of no concern, since what little there is will be almost entirely removed. The ladders, grab handles, and frame will all be removed. Coming next week are some doors & windows, some of which will be grafted on to this. It will become a yard shack for the Maintenance of Way crews, a unit repurposed and plopped on the ground after ending its revenue service.

Excellent scores guys! I only have two to show. One is from the Distressed Kit Auction my club does every June and December. It's a 1/25 scale Lindbergh Lincoln Continental: The other was gifted to me by a friend in my St. Crispin's Irregulars group. It's a Zvezda 1/350 scale HMS Revenge snap kit: I also recently got a lot of glue, Tamiya tape and some lacquer thinner to replenish my supplies., but didn't shoot pics of any of it. That's all for now.
