Those wheels are looking great! I know a lot of builders have problems with Molotow rubbing off. Does the Spaztix seal it well enough to keep that from happening?

Yes it does but it's got to be a pretty fresh bottle because the older Spaztix is / longer it sits around , it can come out milky. These came out better than I thought they would and there's no rubbing off when it's all dry Keith.

Here's with the dash most of the way completed. Still have the steering wheel and column to go and then we're off to the seats. I managed to pick up a spare interior so I could make the painting masks for the seats and door trim so that's next up.

Door panels are done. One thing to note: The casual eye won't see it but .......the R/H door panel has the master switches for the windows and door locks. It would pass for a R/H drive car in part. lol Painting the inlay areas was a bit tricky but managed to get it done. Trim work and door handles were brought out using Vallejo Metal Colors Dark Aluminum for lack of anything better to paint them with. I also added the "Bose" logos on the speaker grilles.

I've noticed the lock issue on other kits as well. I would assume for overseas kits. Your panels look really good. Keep it coming Joe!

My guess is it's easier to just replace 1 piece in a kit, the dash... instead of two door panels also. It could also be the person who designed the kit never noticed the panels are different on each side and just made them the same. We'll never know, ha, ha!!!

I see some of that going on with aircraft kits as well with stuff either in the wrong place or just altogether wrong but hey......I guess it beats the blob for a carburetor in some of the older auto kits eh?

Don't get me started on old engine blob parts, ha, ha, ha! Or the blob figure in plane kits from the good ol' days! Too funny! Joe

Those door panels are looking great! The switches probably won't show up as well after being installed in the finished build. Keep up the great work! Bose logos are a nice touch!

Sorry for the lack of posting lately. Man.....where to begin.....
I've got a 97-year-old grandma who's not doing so well and took a trip back home to see her. On the way north to see her the transmission in my truck failed so it stayed there while my son and I finished the trip with a rental car. I just had the truck towed home two days ago and am actually in the process of purchasing a newer Silverado. It's been a tumultuous last couple of weeks that has taken a lot of my focus away from the forums, but it looks like the murkiness is clearing somewhat so I should be back around a little more from here forward. I know that some of you will be of the mindset that I didn't have to explain all of this, but I merely wanted to let you all know what was up with me not being as present in the community. Looking forward to jumping back in here.
Joe

Sorry to hear about your grandma but it was definitely a trip you needed to take! Failed Transmission is a real bummer! Sorry buddy! Will be praying for you and your family for sure! Joe

Thanks Joe. My grandma is still going and seems to be recovering from her last medical problem and hanging in there. Being 97 years old, she's lived a good life. Got the truck back on the road as of this past weekend thankfully. What a mess that was but it all got sorted out eventually.
