Rolling rolling rolling... not exactly what's happening I removed all the paint from the turret exterior as drawing, cutting and masking the graffiti was very, very (read : too) time consuming and I simply want to move on with the M47. I know it's possible now to get that graffiti/tag effect on a tank and it was a superb learning curve. I'll try to get this Patton back on track asap fellas. I'll go for another rusty one in a su faded green jacket. It was simply undo-able to put all my mates, chaps, buddies, friends, muckers... with their nickname on the tank.

We know you love us all Bro, but we understand,...if,.......if you left Joe's name off of the turret, HA!
Great experiment, sounds like a good trial run.

If I was to put my mark on your tank with my name it would be on the glacis plate silly man where everyone would see me coming first!!! Ski's would be on the rear end by the exhausts coming in slow but steady... Lmao!!!

What a cool project. I'm sorta with Bruce, but I get where you were going with putting everyones name on it (but mine) LOL, and it was looking good. Are you de-tacking your tape?
But sorta shame covering up all that great metal finish look you are doing.
I have to read you guys "term-a-noligy" a few times, to get somewhat of an understanding (just dumb car guy, you know) But when I reach that "Oh yeah" factor, I'm blown away.
Gotta go burn a model desk

Jim, no I didn't detack my tape, I've never had issues with paint pulled off the surface. I was thinking the same on the rusty metal look covered with graffiti. Now I'm glad I restarted. The upper hull is now under construction.
The hatches were shaped rounder with Magic sculp and finished with Tamiya putty thinned with laquer thinner. The towing eyes were scratched as the kit ones weren't accurate. Weld seams were added.

I bend them feckers in the wrong direction, I then usually notice it and bend them back in two pieces lol.
