Most welcome Steve! Today the simple two halves gun barrel was glued together and a start was made with the paint job. Once the barrel seam was smoothended out with Tamiya white putty (thinned with Tamiya laquer thinner), I made texture in the "steel" of the gun mantlet. A coat of rust brown was airbrushed on. 0 Hairspray was applied (from the ab pistol, not the can) and salt was sprinkled over the still sticky surface. The colours were then airbrushed on. With a stiff brush and toothpicks the salt was removed, the hairspray underneath the paint was softened with water and more effects were easily made. The effects were protected with a coat of gloss clear and the white part was sponged with extra bright white. To end bench time with I painted some more effects with Humbrol enamels.

Today I've spent my benchtime in the removal of a turret panel and some scratchwork.

Looking good AG!!! I was just telling Fightnjoe this morning how I am leaning back to the soft armor once more and less show cars... I haven't lost my passion for cars, just feeling that calling again!!!

Thank you Joe, if I were good at car building I'd switch too from time to time but I really ultimately suck at cars.
