Clear coat, then decals:  IMG_3499 by Russel Baer, on Flickr  IMG_3500 by Russel Baer, on Flickr  IMG_3501 by Russel Baer, on Flickr This was my first time to attempt a "custom" registration number using layered decals. Very painful. I've done IDF numbers on a black background before, but I paint the black background. I like the result of the generic numbers on the black decal though. The little call sign below the tow bar however, that was a pain. A white square, the the black triangle, then two separate digits. Pardon me if you can hear my thoughts. |

Such smooth painting and then all the intricate detailing. Those registration numbers are showing some true efforts and those are definitely to be applauded. You got more stones than I do pal.

Who, me? Nah.... I don't try gloss paint jobs. The hull is all assembled and dusted, turret 99% done, to be dusted next. Great job. Challengers are such great looking tanks and bar 1/72 always look huge to me
