Glad you liked it Joe... 👍
The research was complicated to say the least, it seems British Railways forgot about Network Derwent in quite deliberate fashion ! 🤔
The amount of time it took to find and confirm what I was able to put up on that little snippet took ages ! 🤯
Much easier to get the relevant info on Lord Derwent by asking locally or talking to the Baroness Wobbleigh and her Husband Sir Vere, both of whom have now retired, but do possess remarkably sharp memories for persons of their advanced years 😃
Regards OB of still debating if certain incidents in Lord Derwent's lifetime should be included in the bio being worked on... 😉.
PS - The Explosive Disaster Enquiry will be making their conclusions public out here tomorrow morning, so I can reveal what's known then with no threat of legal proceedings being instituted against me for so doing 😃

As has any chance of the public release of any further biographical notes regarding the biographies of the notable personalities, wherefores and whys of those involved in the history of the line. Sir Vere and the Baroness Wobbleigh have changed their minds and totally forbidden the current researcher from ever doing so in his lifetime. In addition, the Derwent Estate has similarly forbidden any further publication of information regarding anything to do with the lives or railway incidents of the late Lords Derwent I and III. Sorry, but there it is. It ain't happening - period. All papers and articles written for publication have been returned as requested to Sir Vere, The Baroness and the Derwent Estate by this researcher. No further correspondence will be entered into on these or any other pertinent matters by The Derwent Estate, Sir Vere, The Baroness Wobbleigh or this researcher. End of ... 😫
In addition, the Explosive Disaster Inquiry has decided not to publish any findings of the inquiry into the explosion and damage caused by Lord Elpuss and forbidden the Derwent Team from saying anything further on the matter. The Official Secrets Act has been once again invoked on the inquiry findings (in case anybody thinks what was tried was a good idea and tries it for themselves !) Therefore, no more can be said on that matter either. Apologies again but that's the way it is... Over and Out... 🤫
I'll be back in a day or two with the latest happenings at the station - I CAN talk about those ! 😃
Regards to all OB of buried in red tape by officialdom 😉

Sorry Joe
Ain't no satisfaction ever gonna be available on the matters this researcher had permission to enlighten the public upon. Its all just added up to hours of wasted time for this researcher, time he could have far more profitably used working on the railway...

Being cheeky again eh ? Cheeky gets what cheeky richly deserves - Take that good sir !
Meanwhile back at the ranch, another disaster has struck, The Derwent Estate has instructed the writer to cease and desist all activities in regard to making a working replica of the station in any form. I initially sought and was given permission to do so with their blessing 😫... They, however did provide me with an alternative by showing how close the existing trackplan is to one that was proposed for Roshven, the proposed terminus of the West Highland Line, before the West Highland's backers decided that Oban and Fort William would both be better bets in terms of line profits. 💰💸
I've decided to go a fair bit further North than that, into the wilds of the Far North of Scotland, to a place the Wick and Thurso Line were considering as a destination for various reasons related to matters Naval, before further study caused them to think again. Ah cun hear the pipes a-callin' oot ter me frae amung the bonny banks und braes folks ! 🥃
Kilted Regards OB of suppin' on a wee dram und feelin' a whole lot bairter ! 😉

The bean nighe (Scottish Gaelic for ‘washerwoman’) haunts desolate streams and washes blood from the clothing of those about to die. To some she has appeared as an old hag with webbed feet, one nostril and one protruding tooth, and on the Isles of Mull and Tiree she has breasts so long she throws them over her shoulders to hang down her back. Bean nighe are believed to be the spirits of women who died in childbirth, now doomed to wash the clothes of the near-dead until the day their lives would otherwise have ended.
It is said that if you sneak up on the bean nighe as she sings her mournful dirge and seize hold of her before she flees, she will reveal to you the name of the soul condemned to die. And if your luck is in, she may also grant you three wishes.

Hi Folks 👍
Oz - My wife died of a stroke in July of 2018, so no, this isn't what its about. The railway may or may not end up going around 3 walls of the room its in but no further. Not offended re my wife, you didn't know. Basically Derwent Water was the name of one of my more successful exhibition layouts back in the 1980's, it needed a crew of 3 to run it properly. I'm on my own here where I am and am very happy to remain that way, after 30 years in the hustle and bustle of the city.
Joe - Wikipedia has some interesting things doesn't it ? 😗🎵🎶 Scotland's full of tales of that sort of restless, malevolent spirit, mind you, in Celtic times (and for quite some time thereafter), they were a bloodthirsty lot - just read any of Sir Walter Scott's "Waverley" novels for an idea of what they got up to !
I found it interesting that the two things many people instantly associate with Scotland in their minds, the Bagpipes and Whisky, have their origins in Ireland and were more or less given to the Scots as a joke by the Irish ! 😖😈
Regards OB of enjoying being on my own again 😉
