Top of the mornin’ to everybody !
Its a lovely day out here today, so a photo session will happen a bit later, meantime I got a bit more dun on the Trumpy 35th KV-2 I started on the weekend, I’m still doing 35ths of an evening during commercial breaks on the tube... Managed to get the Aber turned barrel into the turret (had to assemble then (when dry), amputate the rear end of the kit’s gun barrel and marry that to the metal one with superdooper glue.., then got the chassis box assembled, so the item now looks as follows ...
Anyhoo, going to have a leisurely brekky now and then get back to the desk (that’s where the camera’s at !)
Regards to all OB 😉

It appears I spoke a tad too soon - oh fie, phooey and fiddlesticks ! 😖
During the time I had my brekkie, the sun was obscured by ever increasing amounts of ever darker clouds... Then an almighty thunderclap heralded the arrival of a lot of rain which is still persisting down (persisting pick handles as the saying goes) and it doesn’t appear anything outside including photography is going to happen today. Sorry ‘n all dat ! ☹️
Meantime I’ll git on with some other non styrene related stuff, I forgot I had a visitor or two coming today 😲 Life’s got in the way again I’m afeared 🤬
Regards OB 😉

Its always good to see her, she’s in her Mid 80’s and is travelling with my brother, heading up to his place for a week or so, they drop in here on the way up to his place and on the way back to her place again.
Just put all the ships back in their boxes and back on the shelves, maritime mojo “flare up” has subsided again - sorry ! 🤯😳
The desk looks bare with only a couple of nearly finished 35th tanks on it - oh well, all the more room for 35ths - that particular mojo is deffo up n’ running hot ! 🙂

Good update. Glad things are still happening and as always, it's great to see your Mum. I got to see mine back in August when I went to my nephew's wedding. Seeing family is always uplifting for me.
Gonna go check out the newest models....

Good point!!! Well, I was pretty good at getting myself into trouble (and at one stage both of my brothers loved to get me into as much trouble as they could)... This kind of trouble...
Don’t like being the guest of honour at that sort of party !

Hmm.... 🤔
The Duke’s muttering about starting a Bereg... my problem is I have two Beregs and am undecided about which one to build first (nb; Whichever one I do build first, it will NOT be followed immediately by the second kit), I reckon either one of these will satisfy my appetite for a Bereg for quite some time ! 🤯😖
Here are the kits in question..
Which will it be ? I’ll letcha know when I’ve made the decision, don’t have to worry about it right now, got a desk full of 72nd AFV’s needing decals and weathering, plus a couple of 35ths at the same stage ! Decision in a week or so... Its about time I did a “biggy” in 35th, but I still ain’t got a Bereg in my 72nd collection.. Dilemmas, dilemmas (it ain’t yet at the “Decisions, decisions” stage) 🙄

I have a feeling it’ll be the 35th, I got to thinking about how many wheeled vehicles I have stashed in 35th, the photos below are most of them (there’s at least 3 more I can think of in a box somewhere !) I reckon its about time I built a few of them - their boxes will come in handy too, for stashing built 72nd aircraft in ! 🤫
Some history in the above photo, the Airfix M6 Gun Carriage is ex Peerless and Max (both manufacturers marketed the kits, Max in Japan only, Peerless Worldwide) before the moulds were bought by Airfix, who produced the kits before selling the moulds on to Italeri... The Dodge 1 1/2 Ton Personnel Carrier (“Beep”) is the original Peerless kit and the Heller Opel Blitz is yet another Ex Peerless mould, released by Heller when they were in cahoots with and producing Airfix’s kits for them in the 80’s, before the moulds were sold on to Italeri (Other ex Peerless/Max kits that went the same route to Italeri via Airfix include the original Steyr RSO kit, Opel Maultier and many others). Italeri have improved the moulds over the years as they’ve re-released them ad infinitum. The Tamiya SdKfz 234/1 is a rebox with extra parts of the Italeri original... 🤔🤓
Looks like my course is clear in 35th for a while yet then 🙄😖 I will drop a tank in along the line as I get bored with building wheeled contrivances 😎

Thanks Ernie
Could be interesting, I’ve since located two of the missing three wheeled contrivance kits, I’ll post a pic of the pair in this thread shortly. There’s a KV-2 (just needs finishing/paint) plus some 72nd tanks ahead of the big wheelies... Additionally I need to clear enough desk space to accomodate the Bereg, its way too large to manage as an “of an evening whilst watching TV” kit, with or without its box balanced across my lap ! 😲

As Promised, Two of the three remaining 35th wheeled kits I thought of (the missing one remains irritatingly well hidden and I have a feeling there may be another couple or three other wheeled vehicle kits with it !) 😖 Oh well 🙄 Regards to All OB 😉
