There's been a bit of paint slinging since I last posted. This kit starts at the usual place.....the CP. There's also an accessory portion for the engine included. This was a nice touch as the accessory portion is visible through the wheel wells. When the Dora variants were built from converted A variants, the roof of the wheel wheel had to be deleted to make room for the Jump V-12. When Dragon acquired Trimasters molds for the 109D's and Ta 152, some of them have the engine...some don't. With this new offering, they are always there. Anywho. I shot the seats with Vallejo Aluminum. I then shot them with Mission Models RLM 66. Here's a before and after shot. Everything ended up laying flat after drying from the chipping effects. The same effects were done with the CP. Some detail painted yet remains to be done. The harness is Eduard's fabric set. I had forgotten I had these in the parts bins. There's two per set. PERFECT! They are very pliable. I set mine in place with some Gator glue. I was planning on having a shoulder strap hanging outside the CP when all is said and done. They will get a wash to tone down the "newness". Dual accessory packs.

Good evening everyone. Thank you all for taking the time for having a gander, and for the compliments. Much of the progress pics are from a few days past. Things have been a bit busy around the homestead of late. The wings have been mounted. I realized on the second go around that the fuselage needed to be shimmed out a bit to fill a bit of a gap at the wing root. It'll actually work out just fine on the first bird I did, the -13. This is because the cover for the wing root 20mm will be open. I opted to deflect the control surfaces. I thing I've matched them up with the position of the control stick and rudder pedals.
For the 30mm gun barrels, I used stainless steel hypodermic tubing. One of my favorite features on these birds was the massive intake.
Here we have the coaming and upper instrument panel. These have since been glued in place. The marks you see on the rule are millimeter markings. There is detail for the annular radiator on the front and back side. For at least on of the birds, I'll be leaving the cowl flaps open. I have yet to install the exhaust deflector that goes forward and below the intake.
