Jcon Thank you kindly brother. Keith Thank you very much brother. Dukemaddog Thank you very much my good man. The decal work is mostly with Vallejo Decal Medium and Decal Fix. I used Solvaset in a couple of places. Here is what will be Red 4.
The fuselage plug was bare metal on the sides.
A further mock up of Yellow 10. Some parts remain to be installed.

Wow, I don't know what to say. There aren't any words left to describe the sheer magnificence of both these models.

Dukemaddog Thank you for that high praise my good man. That means a lot to me. Well, the census dropped at work, so they cut me loose early. What did I do you ask? I shot the underside of Rot 4. The masking using Tamiya 2mm flexible tape. Scale wise it worked out quite nicely. Here are the first couple coats of Vallejo Red. I had to shoot this pic in outdoor light to capture just how magenta it is to start with. The first time I used this color I freaked. After a few coats, It does turn a magnificent shade of red. The final result.

Thank you all for your support and compliments. To answer your question Keith. What invasion stripes were to allied aircraft, this paint scheme was to JV-44. They flew top cover for Me262’s. The 262 was very vulnerable during take off and landing. There was a lot of AAA around the airfield to help with defense. This paint scheme helped to identify friend/foe

Keith You are most welcome bro. Carrying on! The oil rendering effects, exhaust staining...in general, weathering is mostly done. The cowls and props are now permanent. Here is Rot 4
Gelb 10
