Snipersmudge Thank you kindly mate. I figured out the openings for the elevator trim lines last night. I drilled 'em out, but that was as far as it got. Too much to do around here with family arriving tomorrow.
Carl Yup! That was it. I've never smelled it actually burning. I did have a '67 VW transaxle, years ago "burn" the gear oil in it. Acrid does not even begin to describe that foul stench.

It was a good day at the ranch. I just about ended up in a food coma. After a while everyone dispersed, and I sauntered out to the bench. With that I was able to get started on the weathering.

The wheels received some Vallejo Wash shot through the AB. Some more work to be done there. The sidewalls still have yet to get dirty.

I got the elevator trim lines done.

The underside received a wash with MIG oils. This was done after the wheel spray was shot onto the underside of the wing and elevators.

Good evening Jeff, Jcon, Snipersmudge, Carl, and everyone else.

It is time to call the Bristol complete. I got a bit more weathering done. I opted not to go hog wild with weathering. Used..."lived in"....not beat to crap. The side walls received some MIG oil thinned down...made it up as I went. It worked out pretty well. Some mud spattering on the underside. The engine got a bit more grime added to it...not too much though. I airbrushed a mixture of Vallejo Oil and Fuel staining to the under side of the bottom cowl. It was very thinned down and built up over many light passes.

To everyone, thank you for your compliments and support during this build. From your comments you sound like you enjoyed it. Go out and build one....or whatever you like

I present the completed Bristol F.2b in honor of my Grandfather, Kensey. Without whom I would not have had such a passion for aircraft and their histories. Especially with the Bristol. Thank you Grandpa.
