I've entered MoM contests on Planetfigure.com a few times. Did I ever think I stood a snowballs chance in hades? Not hardly, but I still got a few votes. It's all about the fun of it, Mate! There are so many incredible artists on that site my work looks like it was done by a Candy Striper in comparison, but I learn just by watchin those guys.
So, let's get ta "sniffin paint and gluin our fingers together!"
P.S. A "Candy Striper" (uniform worn is red and white striped) is a jr. nurse in training, for those that didn't know, lol.

Its funny. I have seen MOM contests on different forums and read the same type of responses. Folks won't enter because they feel everyone else is so much better. Honestly BS. No individual should ever feel that their work is not on par with anyone elses. Folks we are not in "competition", we are enjoying the camaraderie and the eye candy. The MOM is a friendly comparison that yes folks vote on but the title "Model Of The Month" and $1.35 will get you a cup of coffee in most places. Enter or don't enter, either way. Just do not feel that you can or cannot because of the others involved. If you win it, fantastic, if not, so what. The price of entry is nothing. Anyway you can always learn from the other builds and then put those techniques into practice and you are truly the winner.
