I'd already left, but I did thoughtfully leave a forwarding address - yours ! 😈😆
The G-14 has made it to the paint desk...
Whilst the 109 H (wing thereof) has made it to the build desk...
For some unknown and somewhat silly reason, AZ moulded the upper wing halves with a Stuka like kink in them, the lower wing is correctly straight.. advice in the destructions is to bend the kink out of the upper wing halves, so after a bath in boiling hot water, straight from a freshly boiled kettle, the upper wing halves were unbent, then clamped firmly to a piece of timber til the heat and water had gone from them, they were then glued to the under wing, and heavily clamped to save them moving out of line whilst the glue dries overnight...

Interesting on the wings!

Even more interesting in the kit...🥱
There's an extra sprue with a complete 109G wing, lower and two upper halves... at least if the H wing doesn't work, you can get a late G out of the kit... I've already dropped that sprue into the spares box... I ain't a-gonna let this lil' swine beat me ! 🙄

Like I said, it ain't a-gonna beat me, cos I ain't a-gonna let it ! 🥱
Didn't take much persuasion, thank goodness the kit is moulded in soft styrene, as a lot of short run kits tended to be. 😆
Bend that stuff and it stays bent ! 😈

Cheers Boss ! 👍
Undercart legs and doors attached, and after the filler (Tamiya blue - or is it grey ?), on the port wing root dries and gets sanded (the only time/ place I've used any filler on any of these lil critters this time around), she's off to the paint shop. Both the H and the G-14 use the same 3 colours for their camo, so they can cop the first two colours together as a job lot.

Love it when more then one uses the same colors! Almost like you planned it!

If I'd planned it, it wouldn't have worked out like this...🤔
You know how good I aint at stickin' to plans... 😆😋
Before anybody asks what the differences are twixt a 109 G and a 109 H, there's only one obvious difference externally... No prizes for spotting what that difference might be ! 🧐
Best M of WW and no plans (its safer for me this way ! ) 😉🙃

. As I said, no prizes for spotting the obvious difference, it wasn't a quiz, but a rhetorical question. The difference is as plain as the nose on your face (assuming your face is equipped with a nose)... 🙄😆
Anyways, they've both copped RLM 76 undersides and RLM 75 topsides, and will cop a splinter of Dark Green on top sooner or later.. Taking tomorrow off, its Sunday again, so I'm resting after muddlin' all week. Life ain't all styrene ya know 😆

Staying off today, 40 degree plus temperatures out here all weekend and again today, nights are not much lower temperature wise either. Today should be the last of that little lot, expecting a southerly change, bringing rain and cooler temps late in the afternoon. Too hot to move or think round here at the moment. Both 109's are no further advanced than when we knocked off on Saturday morning. 😖
Sorry, I don't do too well in that kind of heat 😲

We've finally got a nice Southerly breeze cooling things down, so I've re-opened the works and got the camo and decals onto the G-14 and the H 🥱
Next time you see this pair, they'll be finished 😎
Next up a pair of 109 E's (Special Hobby and ICM), both Battle of Britain liveried...🙄
