As I said "a toothy Antipodean example" 257 Sqn RAAF, based on Morotai at an airfield called "Ward's Strip" - I couldn't NOT do her in this scheme 😲🙄

Revell Me 109 G-10 starts shortly (wot a difference a mug of well sugared white tea made ! 😆) I normally drink coffee, black, no sugar in multiple all day every day. 🙄

So far so good...( Page 7 even ! 🫨) there's a bit of flash needing removal  (its an old kit, but still a goody) 🥱



Next stop a tad of filling, filing and futzing. Last bits to go on will be the gear legs and doors, then its off to the paintshop...🥱

Paint will happen at some stage tomorrow 😈

Its in the paintshop now and has recieved a blast of Gunze RLM 76 acryl on all undersurfaces and halfway up the fuselage sides and almost covering all the vertical tail surfaces - Paint still wet on that one, so no photos til its dry and can be handled safely, next time it gets its piccy taken, it should be fully camo'd and awaiting decals 🥱

Meantime I'm starting a 35th, to de-fry my eyes - Got a Dragon StuG IV (late) round here someplace.. that'll do, will follow that with a Dragon Panther G (late) and the Border Flakwagon I pictured earlier.

From now on, I'm thinking of reporting in weekly "Sitrep" style, this daily basis stuff is eating away at my modelling time more than somewhat ! On the other hand..🙄🥱

Don't mind monopolizing if I'm the only one posting, but somebody else may want to post something. 

We ain't all on broadband, I have no hope (or a minimum 2 hour wait for most of them to show) of seeing all the photos in those posts, so I don't usually do more than skim them unfortunately. 😈

The Spitfire just about brings this "holiday excursion" into 72nd wingies to a close with just the 109 G-10 to be the last for this time. 🥱🙄

I'm going to stick with 35th for about 6 months, then have a few weeks in 72nd wingies again, before going back to 35th. 72nd wingies I find to be good for a no challenge break (jmy opinion only), but I have no desire to start assembling them in "brain off" mode and end up with silly numbers of the things clogging me up again.

At least I cannot do that with 72nd armour, I can't see the "leetle beets" of them on the sprue. That's why my late mate's son was only too happy to relieve me of all the 72nd armour which came (unbuilt), my way after my mate passed, they were mine to do with as I would with them and his son will build them for his own collection.

I've made a start on the StuG IV, but have to report that there's nothing happening at the desk today, another case of "on the sevenh day he rested" and if it was good enough for him, it'll do for me too ! 😋

Something could happen TO the desk ... it might get a bit higher (given that i've banged my knees quite a few times (the bruises are showing 😖) too many lately, so something needs to be done about that...) Today could well be the day. The paint desk also needs a tad of re-arranging too, so's I can get my "drawers of waiting" underneath it... I'd also like to get my "drawers of stasis" in there somewhare.. 😈

Retired hurt to the pavilion about halfway thru the intended job yesterday, the injury resulted in blood everywhere from a tiny little puncture by the nail on my big toe. 😆 Took ages to stop the thing bleeding. A screw point that had been holding a plastic foot under the corner of the item I was moving got me as I put the item down (after the plastic foot had fallen off as I picked the item up), under something I was moving got me. Why I put it down on my foot is open to question 🙄. Finished the job this morning with no further injury. Own goal, absolutely no sympathy points scored (or sought), for that one. The big toe concerned is quite swollen, sore and bruised this morning, but prompt action with warm salty water as soon as possible after the injury happened stopped any infection developing..

I've put the Hetzer and the StuG IV into the drawers of stasis, dang me if those flippin' 72nds didn't reignite the old Mojo 😖, so the lovely old Revell Me109 G-10 is back front and centre on the paint desk and I'll start an ICM 109 E-4 later today. Looks like my late mate knew what he was doing -harrumph ! 🤬

Back shortly with piccys of the G-10 (as soon as the paint dries) and the 109E (as soon as there's anything assembled to show)

109 E4 (ICM) waits on the line for paint/glue to harden on major subassemblies..😴



109 G-10 waits for its light Green topcoat to dry enough to have Braun-Violet camo applied over same...🥱



Which means I got time for a cuppa ☕️ seeyas ! 😆

About an hour later, there was homebrew Braun-Violet been "splintered" topsides on the 109 G-10 🙄
