I have one suggestion for your "Hobby Shack" and that would be some eave troughs. Have no idea what your annual rainfall is. Rather than have the rain drip off all around and irrigate the weeds and make your foundation damp. You could also add rain barrels to your downspouts. I am not a roofer, but live on the west coast of Vancouver Island.Cheers

It's been awhile since I updated this thread. Thanks to "mustang1989", I was reminded of that fact, so I'm here to add an update. These following pics were actually taken in 2023. I had this glass case in the old hobby room. The glass shelves were iffy about staying put on their brackets. So i grabbed some PVC pipe and fittings and concocted these shelf supports. So now, the built models don't fall into the bottom of the case. The following case I picked up for free outside a hair salon that was undergoing a remodel. The next pic was taken today, but the cabinet looks like it did when I put everything in it. These two cases are where I keep most of the built models. I could use some more of these, but I would hafta grab another building to put them in! LOL

This little photo booth is what I use when I post items on ebay for sale. I will also use this for pics of kits I have posted on the forum for sale, or trade. My paint booth is in the brown cabinet. The upright white cabinet holds paint and supplies, and airbrushes. Somewhere under all that clutter is an "L" shaped workbench. The next shot is my workdesk, where I do most of my building and research. The following pics show a major portion of my stash. As you can see, I have a LOT of clutter to remove from the Hobby Shack! It's been a slow go for the last three years due to medical issues for both Mrs. BUCKY and myself. Hopefully, it won't be too much longer before I can get it cleared out so I can actually find stuff!!

Sounds like my Hobby Room. Although, I do have a straight shot to the chair in front of my workbench, I barely have any room for that chair to turn around in without causing one avalanche or two.
Nice space though Bucky! I wish I were close enough to help you clear it out!

I've actually spent a little time emptying out some moving boxes. After clearing four or five boxes, I have opened up a little space! I'll try to post some update pics tonight or tomorrow.

This is one area that needed a major cleanup: I have made progress on this spot, but not enough to show for now. Here is another place that needed work: It seems to me that I had a workbench in this area somewhere............. Now, I'm getting psyched up for some work on a miniature DODGE!!

Very impressive lair you've created, Keith. While I do have a nice hobby room upstairs, the airbrushing has to be done in the garage underneath. My room is every bit as cluttered as your space, and that's going to have to change over the next several months to a year. If I'm going to build a railroad layout, I need to clear the space. And get an electrician to replace some lighting, and put the room on a separate circuit to feed the power needs of the layout. And replace the carpet with hard surface flooring, another job for a pro. And repaint the room entirely, a job for me. It's going to be a tough slog, but your efforts prove that it's possible if you've got some help and plan things out.
