Firstly I would never have thought I would get my hands on this beautiful kit, how lucky was I ? The Typhoon should be finished in a couple of days and I've been eagerly waiting to crack this open I'll show you a few photos of what's in the box as the detail is mind blowing Kicking off in a few days

I don't remember very well all the evolution but the quality of Airfix kits has increased, at least on 1/72 and 1/48!Can't wait for the photos with the beauty inside! Good luck with this wonderful project! Nicu

There are lots of parts and duplicate, but, very similar parts so you must get the right part for the option you have chosen As usual starts in the cockpit, bit more in here than the 1/72 eh Loads of little holes to drill out but take care as there are three different size holes There are some pin marks on the back of this which will never be seen. I think this kit is all about taking your time and don't rush

Done a bit more sticking tonight but need to start painting so I'll leave it there I've got Tamiya cockpit green but it looks lighter than the colour they show in the instructions, will it be good for this. I bought it for the Spitfire I done ages ago? Other than the seat the rest is mostly dry fitted You get a choice of instrument panel, one to paint and fit decals to the dials, that's what I've gone for, or one to paint the dials yourself

Done a half hour tonight. Bit of aluminium dry brushing inside the cockpit, you wont see it but I've done it anyway, decals on the ally tanks, whatever they are. Few bits to go inside the cockpit area of the main body, painted green, and a few decals too, then it's ready for closing up
