I'll be at my desk tomorrow (its safer !🤫) after a visit to the Doc with the X-rays/scans ☹️
Best Gomez the Damaged 🤕🤬

Ligament Damage is right says the Doc, after viewing the scans... 🤕🥸
prescribed painkillers I cannot take (oops ! Allergic to that stuff or any derivative of it) so he prescribed some I can (good ol' Tramal, more of a knock out tablet, "kills pain" by making you sleep, so you don't feel it.)
I HATE 'EM 🤬 Do my best NOT to take them as often as possible. Real painkillers work by reducing inflammation, not as a general anaesthetic. 😤🤬
Right rant over, after a cuppa or two (I stopped counting after three 😉 ) on my return, I got to the desk, and the Hetzer and Mk IV are now dun, full photosets in the relevant forum in due course, meanwhile here's a couple of teasers🤫
Hetzer
Mk IV
Wot's next ?🤔 one of a number of choices, I'll letcha know on the morrow... 😎

Brilliant! Looks like those cuppas were the perfect medicine to help bring these over the line.

Well, despite your issues, glad you are able to get some bench time in. Nicely done!

Cheers Folks 👍
Just a quicky to letcha know the Achilles is next to cross the line, now only needs weathering to be dun. 😎
Next on the build bench is Rye Field's Panther F. I'm ditching the kit given tracks (indy link with seperate guide teeth, two to be glued to each link) 🤬🤯 No thanks !
Replacing them with Bronco Late Panther G tracks is appropriate methinks 🤔 given that the original Panther F spec called for a (presumably late) G hull with flame damper exhausts and a schmallturm, no mention in the spec of which roadwheels were to be used, (according to the Panzer Tracts volume on the beast), thus it could have been all steel wheels, the usual Panther late style rubber tyred wheels, or even the rubber tyred jobs with a steel wheel on the rearmost axle on each side, nobody knows, since none were ever produced. Rye Field give you a choice of all steel wheels and a full set of the rubber tyred jobs, as well as seperate torsion bars for each type. I'm not sure of which wheels I'm going to use on mine yet, I'm tempted to go for the rubber tyred jobs and call it an "early model" Panther F, just to be different. It'll give me an excuse to build another one with all steel wheels. We'll see.. 🤔
Piccies later, when I have something to show.

Its rolling along like a bought one, no assembly dramas yet
Here's the chassis, right on schedule as planned (plan - wot plan ? 😖 )
Stopping for me dinner now, after which I'll crash in front of the TV and catch up with a couple of archaeological programs I recorded during modelling time 😎

Rolling right along... 😖
Sorry re the lack of posting yesterday, got mired in a mass of tiny parts. Rye Field have reduced what other manufacturers give as one or two parts into multiple tiny part subassemblies, which don't (IMHO) look any better when finished than the one or two part offerings by other manufacturers, Guess its one way of upping the parts count! 🤬
Here's where the Panther F (early) is at now, hopefully I'll git it to the paint stage today, but no rush 🤔

Even cooler now. 😎
Just needs the spare track hangers added at the rear and she's off to the paint shop (finally ! ) 👍😆
Next on the line will be the Italeri Hetzer (fancy something easy after the complications of this lil booger !) 😖🤯

That Hezter and Panzer duo turned out very well. Made swift work out of that. Ryefield surely does come up with crazy parts courts to get the same job that other kit manufacturers accomplish with significantly fewer parts. The turnout is good from them but dang, a few less pieces please. Lol Hope your knee gets feeling better soon bud

Cheers Guys 👍
Its not just Rye Field, Border and Miniart are other offenders as well. Takom went that way, but have been simplifying certain of their kits, Dragon still does it (got enough spares to build most of a late Pz IV in their Wirbelwind mit Zimmerit kit) even Academy are up to it to an extent, their latest PzIV related kits have at least 3 sets of road wheels/sprockets/idlers in them as well as about half a tank worth of extra bits, panels etc; 🤯😖
I refuse to comment on the tracks that are indy link with a pin each end - even if an assembly jig is supplied (on the grounds that any such comment would inevitably involve some rather vile language !) 🤬
The Panther F has copped its base coat of Tamiya XF-88 Dark Yellow 2 and the Achilles has been weathered this morning. Pics in due course. Starting a Tamiya Marder later on, didn't feel like another Hetzer in the end 🤔🤫

Best GtM 😉🙃 I have yet to build a set of tracks with individual links, but I can only imagine what "fun" that would be. lol. Looking forward to more of your progress.
