Cheers Folks ππ
Here's the Dragon King Tiger mit Zimmerit, finished it as one of SPBn 505's with their charging knight insignia on the turret
Decided its Panther time next, starting with Dragon's Early G mit zim.. pretty much OOB, will follow that with either Meng's Ausf A or Tamiya's "full house" boxing of their Ausf D... That decision to be made when I get the G dun ! π
Best to all GtM π

Thanks Joe, The Nashorn turned out better than I expected at any rate
The KT needs a tweak or two, I've left the other side of it unstowed, (just for fun) I did fit the PE brackets (Dragon didn't give me a choice of not using them !) π€¬ but not the cables or tools, there were plenty of German tanks looked that way (usually after they'd been knocked out or abandoned for lack of fuel)
On with the Panthers tomorrow... grabbed a few at random from my Panther stash, which was getting ever larger and does (desperately !) need reducing in size, cos there's a lot more Panther kits I'd like to get my hands on, I'm starting to think I may have more than a slight Panther addiction π€«π, in any case, I've been steadfastly ignoring them and the unbuilt Panther stash has been growing at a somewhat alarming rate ! π³

Is 2022 my "year of the Panther" I neither know nor care ππ

I think I'll leave that one alone !ππ
Tish (who's name still starts with a K) doesn't mind me playing around with big cats - its not just Panthers, there's quite a few Tigers and a couple of Pumas laying about the place unbuilt, at least she knows where I am if I'm playing with big cats !π
Best GtM π
P.S. With malice aforethought, I've changed the plan slightly..π It'll still be the Dragon Panther G mit zim on the desk first, after which it'll be the Academy Late Tiger I,"Gruppe Fehrmann" kit, for a reason I'll explain when I get to building the Tiger kit.π€ It'll be Panthers interspersed with the occasional Tiger 1 for a while after that π Dragon Panther G mit zim hits the desk in a couple of hours - promise ! ππ

4 hours later....
Chassis assembled (whew !) π
Took that long because...π€―
Its one of THOSE dang blasted things, full internal complement of Torsion Bars etc; which won't be seen when its dun, so I didn't really bother cleaning them up at all, I'm not even going to paint the inside of the thing ! The sprockets and rear idlers are not glued at present, to aid getting the tracks on and the proper amount of sag into/onto them. In addition, the tracks are DS rubbish π€¬, I might use them temporarily until I can get some more Bronco indy links. I have 2 sets of them in stock, but both are earmarked for Panthers to be built in the near future, so they're spoken for. As soon as my fave onliner gets some more into stock, I'll grab a few sets of them and these DS putridos will disappear pronto ! π
Rant over, normal levels of insanity resuming

Wow, I finally found this and got caught up! You've certainly returned with a vengeance and everything is looking sensational as always. It's a thrill to be following your work again!
Nice improvements on the 'factory' there; I'm still trying to get mine cleared and ready for more production.

Panther's finished to the paint stage, no dramas to report - as below,
Its staying that way for a couple of days, to allow the Tiger to be built, before the pair enter the paintshop together, and to allow me to decide whether its going to cop a set of Bronco indy links instead of the DS rubbish tracks to go on it (DS are ok for tiddlers in 72nd, but a bit below par for 35th - my opinion only, others may differ)

Onwards and whichever way's up ! ππ

Slight change of plan (So what else is new ? )π I've decided the Tiger can wait, I didn't (and still don't)π, feel like doing two big kitties one after the other.
Therefore, as it ain't just big kitties I've got "more than a few of" unbuilt, the decision has been taken to do a few half tracks, starting mit Dragon's "neu art" SdKfz 250/ 9 Recon jobby, photos of how far I've got with it later. π

Onwards and whereverπ

Here's the 250/9 chassis all but dun
I do so love workable indy links with a trackpad over the joint NOT ! π€―π€¬ No other way out if going OOB (as I do), so out with the Testor's liquid glue and do the links, drape 'em round the gear, get the sag right and let the glue harden,, then add the pads using tweezers and a "heavier" glue of your choice - Contacta Pro for me ! π
Anyhoo, the slow bit's dun now (glue still drying on the trackpads !) and it should all be a breeze from here on out ! π€π€«

That's about 3 weeks to get the Panther and this lil booger dun, plus one more to see me to the 26th ππ
