Hi guys, the R35 was set aside for a little while as I want to get this one finished first. It's Dragon's Georg Bose's Stug III Ausf. G Early. The kit however won't build into an exact GB Stug, so if you like to build a moreless exact one some research needs to be done. Once mine's built I'll try to list all the points of attention up. Honestly it's more fun to go for just a Stug as you will never end up with a 100% accurate GB version. OK, this is where I'm at, still need to add some parts, for example some field modifications like a bullet deflector (cupola) and grabhandles (hatches). The tracks will be done tomorrow. The figure is from Panzer Art and I believe I've never seen a figure that fitted so perfect.

So, was that area a weak point for small arms??

So, was that area a weak point for small arms?? Appearantly, the entire Sturmgeschütz Abteilung 177 got this field modification. I find it odd too but it was a necessary thing to glue on tomake it as accurate as possible. The muzzle break however is not correct and I've decided to sculpt a cover over it. Thanks for the kind replies as always!

Another excellent build, I'm in! Hey Guy, Bill Horan's Tiger Commander, STP 35001, would also be an excellent fit in there. A beauty of a sculpt, but long past out of production. I've got a King Tiger just waiting for that one.
Bookmarked!

Thanks for the good tip on that figure Steve, I'll certainly try to score one then. Thanks Joe. One or two bits and bobs to add to this sneaky trackie and a muzzle brake cover to sculpt and then the painting can begin.
