Joe, Bruce and Mark, thanks guys! The add on tracks were given a wash, pigments in the wet wash and a whitewash. The fenders ditto.

Nice to see how to do white wash properly. If I didn't know that was a model i would say it was real. One thing I noticed is that your effects are in scale. Its real easy these days with all the bottled effects available to get half decent results, but if you are sensitive to how you apply it and where it it should go it can really enhance the look your trying to achieve. I did this a lot back in my early days (still do sometimes). When I stepped back and saw my kit looked dark and overdone I knew I had some learning to do. I still have to check myself a lot but its getting better. Thank you for the lesson. I'm working on some armor now so this will really help.

Totally agree Jon. It's so easy to get heavy handed and harder to correct.

If there's one thing I'm sure of it's that I can't teach you a lesson, as you are next level, maybe even beyond that.

Thank you Bruce and Joe.
The products for weathering are a great help for modellers but the effects can be overdone easily , I struggled with the pigments in particular.

At least pigments wash off until you seal them on...

At least pigments wash off until you seal them on... Not when you apply them onto a matt surface, which I did.

I was turned on to these because they have a new product that removes applied pigments. They sell it a part from the set as well. I bet it would work to remove yours as well. Its called pigment remover. I am a big fan of pigments and use them often. Hope this helps.

These seem to be nice products Jon! The right fender was given a first rust treatment as well and next are the wheels before the lower hull will get dirty.

Suitably worn and used looking sez I
You ought to do an SBS on whitewash. The only way I know how to do one involves about a week of drybrushing with white enamel which is getting pretty hard to find. Looks like you've evolved a better method
