All the components were given a pinwash consisting of oils burnt umber + ultramarine blue. The pinwash mixture will get a tad of burnt sienna for the next treatment to create the first rust effects in nooks and crannies.

Bruce, I'm using reference photos of an M47 as a guideline. It was sold a long time ago.
