That's exactly what happened to me also on the "Sherman Forum". I'm going to just finish them and not count rivets. Is that board still going? I haven't been there in a while.....
I was looking around for parts to build "Meir", the very first IDF Sherman. I think I have everything I'd need. Hmmm.....

Well, the two M50 hulls are my current darlings. I did the engine decks and details under the rear hull overhangs, mainly so I could remember which one was which, and it's fun.... The Dragon hull will be an early, early M50, built from an M4A4(T) hull, an IDF conversion of a regular M4A4 to the Wright engine. Some pics do exist of these tanks with the cast final drive cover, I guess since a Sherman is a Sherman is a Sherman, and if one of those old final drives failed, the IDF didn't really care what the replacement looked like as long as it fit and worked. Also, when these old tanks were rebuilt, lots of parts got mixed up, and a Sherman is a Sherman is a Sherman... The MP hull will be a very early Cummins powered M50, very commonly pictured. Lots of subtle differences! Have you ever done one with a radial engine in it? Beekster is another one who knows a ton about Shermans. Hope he's watching this one.

I have, and am now: The M4A4(T), the gray Dragon hull, is an Israeli "conversion" of good old M4A4 hulls obtained from France to use the Wright aircraft engine, same as the M4 and M4A1: much easier to service than the Chrysler Multi-bank, and a lot easier to obtain as well.
