Small update on the 1/32 Trumpeter F4U-1D. Work continues on the internal structures. This time is the seemingly complicated induction system. The airboxes are put together with two types of thin strip. By stacking them I am able to better imitate the real thing. May have to try that sometime on engine cylinders. Also working on the two intercooler stacks. I stacked three pieces of strip and then chopped them into angled sections. These were glued together and mounting pins added. Lots of cleanup to do but this gives me something to work from. All comments, critiques, and criticism are requested. Joe

Are you using a For Sale sign for the flat stock? This is an awesome thing to see!

Stunning work Joe! Gee, after awhile, you'll have enough knowledge of this to scale it up and make a 1:1 scale plane... that runs! Love it Joe!

I agree with Robert, this is phenomenal work! I can't help thinking that soon you'll have the knowledge and experience to build a full scale one!
Keep this going Joe!

Its Christmas Eve and all through..........nah. More like Boxing Day, electrical boxes, distribution boxes, junction boxes. The modification of Trumpeters 1/32 F4U-1D continues. Kit parts are the instrument panel (2 parts and 1 piece of film)..... well....yep...just that. Working on the boxes so that I can get started on the electrical. Putting off the hydraulic until I can work up the energy to tackle the knotted nest. More hopefully in the next couple of days. And yes I did pull it apart again, this time to make the construction easier. All comments, critiques, and criticism are requested. Joe
