Nice choice Jim and thank you for the tribute. I'm humbled. I look forward to seeing your build progress. Sounds interesting. I've got a JJ Vega in 1/16th. Need to find a set of front tires for it as the kit ones melted into one blob.

Nicely done tire work Jim. It does fit the wheel-well a lot better.
Thank you for showing us how you did it. I don't have any WWs but if I come across some your tutorial will help if I want to resize them.

Great work Jim, I'm not into building cars ( although a car was my first finished post on here I think!) watching work like this certainly rouses my interest 👏👏

Finally found some paint remover to get that yellow off and will start once more on getting this body correct... covid has limited severly what I could find for chemical removers...

The yellow has bubbled up badly 3 times now, got some of that purple power stuff to strip it down with this time... something keeps reacting with the plastic even though I have primed it... time will tell. I used oven cleaner to strip it last time, brake fluid before that... Gave it a good cleaning and still reacts...

You have some kind of contamination on it but I'm sure you know that Joe. You might want to try wiping the body down (once you restrip it) with some type of degreaser. I've used this stuff for the last 15-20 years. (shows you how much I paint right, the can is just below half). LOL You don't need much. I mount the body to whatever I will be using so I can spray it. Often times it's an empty can of paint but it doesn't matter. I wash my hands just before I paint to remove any oils which may get on the body then I wipe the body down with Turpenoid using a lint free rag to do so. Let it dry, then paint. I've not had a problem with contamination. Fingerprints are one thing that can cause the issue you are having. I don't know if this product is still available but you should look for something similar if it's not.
