Being a knock off I can understand it dying.
I'm not familiar with either of the two you are considering. Sorry I can't help you there.
I haven't been able to build my paint booth yet. I did get the fan for it. I need to build the box and add lighting. I am also trying to locate a reasonably priced (cheap) dehumidifier.
Paasche does make good ABs. I have a V (side feed) and a VSR90 (gravity feed) that I plan to see which I like better for finer lines. For bodies I'll use either a Paasche H or F. The F may be better for smaller parts, frames, axles, interiors etc. I'll need to try it. Besides the H and F I have the Binks Wren model B I bought 45 years ago. The nose isn't round anymore though. Been dropped too often.

I planned on doing that Joe. I'll also note if they won't work. I am fairly certain the V and VSR90 both use the same shell, different cup locations. I have the number 1 and 2 needles and nozzles so I can try both combos. I spray DupliColor lacquer and fingernail polish. I need to see how thin it will need to be. I can only thin it so much. I also have a modification that I plan to use on them. That would be mentioned too. And if they don't work there is the Thayer & Chandler (not Badger) Vega 2000 with all 3 needles/nozzles. Or perhaps a ...

Hey Jim, I'd be happy to see your ABs and spray guns. Send me a PM. I have 4 or 5 full size guns that I've bought cheap at garage sales. I know I have one but maybe two touch up guns. Nope, never even tried any to see if it works. I've got about a dozen ABs. I did have around 50 of them a year and a half ago. Lost my job and I sold them for food on the table and gas in the car. I've become more choosy about what ABs I'll buy now as I plan to, hopefully, keep them.
Nice paint booth! You can fit a lot more than models in there looks like.
Welcome to the F/C build too. I look forward to what you come up with to build.
I had a VL I used for about 25 years. They are good brushes. I only used mine for water base. I did the occasional T-shirt for frieds/family with it. I can NOT draw so my skill is quite limited.

Get that booth going I'm dying to see some of your work. So am I Brother! LOL There are so many ideas in my head. I'd like to start back soon. I think I found the wood panels today to build the box. It's at a friends place who is doing a clean out. Will still take a bit of time but it puts me one step closer.

Very interesting ref AB's would anybody know if the USB re-chargeable AB's are worth a shot just for priming or undercoating?

Here it is I've read online where people were discussing these Jed. A couple said they were decent but most said they would pass. This airbrush is $60 in US funds. I don't know what your cost is over there. Not worth it to me although it may be OK for spraying primer as opposed to a base/coat, top/coat on a model car for example. Depends on if you'd want to invest in something that may or may not work for you. I think I'll pass. One thing that intrigues me though is the circle that says it supports other airbrushes. Are there adapters to fit other airbrushes such as Paasche or Badger? If there are it may change the game. I'm fairly certain that most knock off airbrushes will fit an Iwata air hose if it fits any name brand airbrush hose at all. Whether this AB is threaded for Iwata I can't say. I've not read anything on this Gocheer AB except what you've posted here.

They sell adapters and quick connects, which help immensely. You can change out or go clean them with minimal effort.

I have never used an airbrush of any kind, it was just a thought as it would be quicker to undercoat/prime multiple figures. As I'm no speed painter or builder!! I guess it doesn't really effect me, especially now I find that Mig one shot primer is brushable. Thanks all.

A good air compressor is usually the most expensive part, as well as filter and pressure regulator. Condensate can end up being a problem.
