(Yes,I live and breath-and miss youse guys!) I started out on Scale Auto forums,Mad Modeller,Modeler's Haven, then helped a friend get LOEM up and running,it died, another friend started MLB,helped there (still hold the "office of mod",don't get on any more than I have here, lately,LOL),then A guy named Jody made me "admin" on his site, but I dropped off there due to some dramamand a person I avoid like th eplague, started Plastihaulics Anonymous a couple years ago (almost 2 years),and here I am today ;D
As we move out of tax refund season and things settle down-NOW that I finally have a much needed new PC,hope to get on here (and the bench) more-back to normal ;D

Started out at Sharks Realm and Fred's Dirt track. Have since found a couple dozen Forums and try to participate in most, time permitting.

I started with automodelin.com then here. All are quieter than i had hoped. Seems like all things in my life even my hobbies are thinning out and becoming relics.

I'm glad to see you guys are here! Most of the forums I have been a member of seem to be slowing down quite a bit. Is it a passing fad? I, myself, have been much too busy with everything else to be as active on my own forum as I'd like to be. Hang in there, folks!

Hey hey hey!!!!
Chinbeard and bucky too!!!! - its like the golden years back at AM!!
Got Revells 69 Supernova finished off and its the cleanest model I have ever turned out....and "OOTB" too, the first in ten years. Just shows what happens when the tooling is as sublime as in is on the Nova. Hopefully pics at the weekend if I can git my hands on a camera.

Tried the Model Cars forum, was the same as the SA. was up to 10-13 forums and tried to scale it down .... Was over at the Auto Model forum a with the Flame.. Now trying to scale back the forums a bit, Can't do much building if you spend all your free time on the PUTER.. Heard this forum mentioned over at Memory Lane Builders and went to check you out, BUCKY, so here I am..SHOULD Start to post soon. finished moving south of the mason dixion line. Never knew of Automodeling, but got my start back into modeling at Fred's Dirt Track Forum, which I think is still in business, but changed hands a few times. Have recently come from the WORX Forum, which is about to pull the plug in a couple days. Hope it wasn't me.

This is a great topic.
I started out on Finescale Modeling Forums way back when. Before that, I never even knew such places existed for modelers like me. It was the only Forums I knew about and I enjoyed the daily interaction with other modelers. Of course there were a few people that annoyed me on that site; not to mention the drama and petty infighting that seemed to always happen. When the invitation came out to join the League of Extraordinary Modelers, I jumped at the chance. What a difference and the League became my home for the next ten years. It was the best experience I'd had; it truly felt like family over there.
Sometime after that I was invited to join the Modeler's Alliance which I did. I didn't post there as often at that time, as the League was still my home. I still enjoyed the Alliance and learned a lot from those guys too. Once the League closed down, I spent more and more time on the Alliance. I still do and have even been awarded the Modeler of the Month over there once.
Sometime in between that, I also joined the IPMS USA as a member and found out they have Forums too. I participated there a lot, and eventually they asked me to be a Mod. I am still there and still Modding on that site.
Later on, after ten years of the League of Extraordinary Modelers, they decided to close down. I admit I cried on the last day when I went back and saw the site go down. That was home after all. Just before that happened, I was turned onto another Forums by a friend of mine and fellow IPMS Orange County member who told me of SPAModeler Forums. It stands for Scale Plastic Aircraft Modeler, but they don't restrict themselves to just aircraft. They have Fora for every genre and subject, and I have found that SPAModeler is the closest thing to the old LEM that I have found to date. They have that same family feeling; all supporting and open and helpful and so forth.
During that time also, I was turned on to the 'Worx by Joe, yet still felt not quite as welcome by many of the members. That changed when more of the Members of the League joined up after the lights went out. I felt a bit more at home then for the most part. Now that they have closed that one down, I'm over here.
So those are the Forums I still post on. Aside from that, I also regularly post on the Missing Lynx Braille Scale Forums to show off my small scale armor.
That's all I have now. Let's hear from the rest of you guys.

Well Gents, after I threw away my abacus and got me a computer it only took a few more years before I actually got on the net. I know, I'm slow that way.
My first forum was Missing-Lynx, which I still visit quite often. I post on Track-link, Armorama, and several others, but Worx was my main home. Not just because Jcon directed me to it, but because of the crew, I stayed. Now the crew is filling the ranks here and I see the positive attitude directed right where it needs to be, sniffin paint and gluin them fingers together. We gots some great moderators and Ma Brotha Jcon is aboard, so the ship is asail.
My big interest if figures, as those of you who know me can attest to. But, I still haven't ripped open the plastic on a car or truck. I know, I know, but how am I gonna hide all them glue marks? Tell me that, HA!
Ok, who's next?

You don't have to build cars or anything else, you don't care for, here. We all love to model and enjoy others who love the same. Bucky has just about every genera you can imagine, so no excuses, let's get modeling and learn things new and old.
