Finally the last of my Christmas presents came in. This is several sets of 1/72 scale resin tracks for a few different tanks. I got these to replace the tracks on several of my older models that lost them for whatever reason. I also got the AMX-30 tracks to replace the horrible ones on my French AMX-30 from Heller: That's it until my birthday....

Can you get it with a regular desk top base instead of the clamp?

These two just arrived from Belgium: The bridge mounts will go on a Takom M31 with Shapeways bridge elements. The parts look nice, though I think I'll use the resin main crossmember as a pattern to make a duplicate in styrene; the resin is pretty bendy and styrene is a wee bit more stiff. The 'dozer blade is going in the stash for an eventual Australian M3A5 Grant 'dozer tank; the necessary MiniArt kits are on the way. Yesterday I spent the Christmas gift card I got from my wife on restocking some Evergreen stock and this:
I've done casting before, but at my scale of operations it doesn't pay to purchase large quantities of material. Mixing ratios are never perfectly exact so I tend to run out of RTV vulcanizer before I run out of liquid RTV, or the vulcanizer or resin component fluids go bad if you haven't been casting stuff for a while. So I went with a small set for $30, and will create a how-to thread on doing resin casting. It isn't all that hard to do for small stuff, like Sherman interior parts. And for me, copies of those are always good to have on hand--especially the driver's compartment bits. Some otherwise superb kits like Asuka's M32B1 tank retriever and Tamiya's M10/Achilles kits have no driver's compartments, but the vacant areas are frequently visible. Making resin copies of Academy M10 interior bits solves that problem.

Oh yeah! OKB Grigorov has tons of track sets, wheel sets and stowage all in 1/72 scale for almost anything you can imagine. I usually don't get anything like this because I want to buy kits, but some kits just need replacement tracks and such if I want to keep them in my collection.

I don't even have an F-16 in my stash yet,but I saw these decals and had to have them.Being a big football fan,I thought these were pretty cool commemorating the Colts Super Bowl win.I will probably pick up a Tamiya F-16 at some point.
