That may not be factory correct, but it's how the kit is. It would take a good bit of rework to change it.

PROBLEM SOLVED:

Different carbs, and shorter air cleaners. It all fits, now.

I also have the exhaust figured out:

The above parts are the kit-supplied stock mufflers and tailpipes.

I changed the mufflers to glass packs:

I have a couple chrome tips to add after final assembly.
