Funny thing is I don't know for sure if I can ride it. It has the right side shifter and I've only ridden MCs with left side. I know back in the day I rode a friends right side shifter Sporty and down shifted every time I was "trying" to use the rear brake.
I have a plan for something custom if I'd get it. That, and I've ridden many many miles and only used the front brake to stop. I'm fairly certain the 1974 Sporty was the first year for a single front disc brake so that gives me more confidence.

The Davis Motor Mine Cart - Found in an abandoned Gold Mine in Northern California in the late 1970s, the Davis Motor Mine Cart is a home built creation using most of a 1926 Harley Davidson 21c.i. B-Model motorcycle. The machine also features a Ford Model-A transmission, and electric start!

This 1919 Harley Davidson J Model Cut Down, was built specially for racing on the ice during cold, snowy winters. This machine features a 1000cc hopped up pocket valve engine, 3-speed transmission, and studded tires for traction on the ice.

The 1913 Henderson - The Henderson Motorcycle Company was founded by Tom and William Henderson in 1912 in Detroit, Michigan. By 1913, the Henderson motorcycle, referred to as" The Gentleman's Motorcycle," was a four-cylinder 1000cc machine with a long wheelbase that rivaled all makes in style and performance.

This is a Trippy category, Hey Joe why didn't you tell me about this? You know I'm Biker trash! Somebody in the room slap this guy for me... LOl This is one you posted it is like my Wifes Chopper except hers is Gold Except she can't ride it right now because I exploded the ft and rear brake calipers, you should see how tiny they are. It is actually a replica of Jesse James West Coast Choppers, Sturgis Special. here are a couple quicky pictures I took of the Die Cast I have of it in my West Coast Chopper Die Cast Case. The big one is 1/6 scale the little one is 1/34. and the top left is 1/18 I would like to post a bunch more of my Die Cast and other collections, if there only was a "Collections" category (hint hint) I have this rare Sportster ft end (that you posted) on my 1942 Flathead I built this ft end one piece at a time, including finding one fork leg buried in the ground. I have the front fender also, but real Chopper Guys don't run ft fenders... LOL It is supposed to have a Springer ft fork, but I would have to be a Real Estate Agent to afford one of those. I started this Bike with just a frame. I posted these in the "what rides you had and have" category You better start paying better attention to me or I will go find a different Armor site to post my Motorcycles! Oh, by the way this is the 10th category now, that I have posted in. (and planning 2 more in the next couple days) (if I don't get deleted) LOL Jim

As of this writing I already posted in the new Category. Thank-You for creating it.

That's funny Jim about the chaps!!! Glad you found the new category and keep on posting bro, you have lots of posts to catch me!!! As for armor builds you can always jump in slowly with a jeep or army truck and build from there with a halftrack before tackling a tank, ha, ha!!!

Dual Carb Knuckle - This 1942 Harley-Davidson FL is preserved with all its hotrod glory from the 1950's. The machine was Drag raced out of Dayton, Ohio by Bill Smith in the late 1940s and 50s. Matt acquired the machine in 2016 from a close friend and promptly got it back in running order.

I think I was born too late, the old stuff really grabs me more than the modern, even old custom jobs 🙄

Hey Joe, Of course you are talking about Matt Walksler, Wheels through Time Museum that his Dad Dale started. You see I know this stuff without Google...LOL I've followed Dales work since I was old enough to read...going on a year now. That is a legendary Knucklehead. It's amazing the stuff they come up with when you got connections and a mountain of cash. Dale and his shop have been frequently featured on "Pickers" Another couple of guys standing on a mountain of cash.
This is a cool thread

Those bikes look great real and kits, I only wish I could ride a bike Hey JED, I had a friend, Cliff Kaser, who was a cross country truck driver for over 50 years, after he retired he got on his first motorcycle at the age of 70, then rode for twenty years. He put a side car on his Honda Gold Wing and him and his wife toured the country. They were members of two clubs, Gold Wing Road Riders and Arizona Retreads a club that you had to be over 70 to join. When we lost him at the age of 92, his girlfriend, that's right he had a girlfriend at 92, gave us his wifes ride vest, because he said he wanted me to have it. (proving once again that I'm the coolest guy you'd ever want to meet...LOL) We never got a chance to meet Ruthie she passed on a couple years before. Ain't it cute? She colored in all the states they had ridden to Leslie took one of Ruthies pins off and put it on her own vest, so that the two of them could still be in the wind. (proving once again that she is the coolest chick that you'd ever want to meet....LOL) JED, the next time you are out driving and you see a Motorcycle, roll down your window, stick your arm out and give them the thumbs up. Then you are one of us my Brother. "Old Bikers never die, they just smell that way" Jim ps: Cliff lived behind my paint shop at my house, we had an alley between us. I was talking to him one day and he asked me "did you hear that maniac doing burn outs up and down the alley on a motorcycle yesterday? I said " no, I'll have to keep an eye out for him" .......it was me

Here's two more for you lady and gentlemen! First off the line - The collection at Wheels Through Time features over a dozen serial number one examples from the first 100 years of motorcycle history. These two Harley Davidson lightweights were the first off the line for their respective years, a 1928 in original paint and a 1934 out of New Jersey that someone turned into a custom" Hot Rod" bobber. Both machines are run on occasion for visitors to WTT.
